They ceratinly are quietloudquiet, like Feeder they sound like the kind of band that were influenced by Nirvana and Pixies without actually picking up on what made Nirvana and Pixies so special.

I've met Dinosaur Pile Up. Nice guys and awesome - different to you're usual "rock" these days, not so different from the 90s. But who knows, this genre might pick up again!

I went to see them at a small venue (the cluny, newcastle) around where I lived and they were great live lots of energy, very loud and in your face. Very good. Probably gonna catch them on thier upcoming tour, and maybe if I make it to live at Leeds again this year. I doubt they'll be able to get into the mainstream again though, shame really.

Interesting that the band mother vulpine split. The singer forming dinosaur pile up and the bassist forming Pulled Apart By Horses, another band who rock hard.

Neil Young has just announced two UK dates on the 18th & 19th Aug... He's played before, he's considered to be the godfather of grunge & I don't doubt SOAD may look to him as an influence...
