If they honestly couldn't put on a show without some big platforms and a lot of lights, surely that says more about Jay-Z and Kanye as performers than anything else?

The best live artists can do it without a massive stage show and lighting, they create the atmosphere themselves!

anybody who saw Jay Z at the Radio One Big Weekend will know that Jay Z and Kanye don't need all that stage show bullshit to put on a show, although i'm sure they'd bring more with them if they played Glasto considering Kanye was only a special guest at the Radio One thing

i don't think they'll play, but if they did i have no doubt in my mind that it'd be incredible

Thinking back to who Neil was talking about turning Glastonbury down. Really hope it was someone we hadn't considered so people aren't disappointed. On the other hand I really hope they didn't get turned down by someone who would've been amazing like Arcade Fire, though they were probably asked ages ago about playing so it probably won't be them. Likely to be Bowie isn't it considering he's only just come back into getting some attention?

I personally hope it was either Radiohead or Fleetwood Mac that turned them down, as from a selfish point if view I don't want to see them.

In all honesty though i really was 1 of the people who worried about headliners, now I'm more excited by the few performances in the day from bands I like. (I also like the Arctic Monkeys so I'm happy that they should be doing 1 day)

I know of more than just one act who has recently turned Glasto down for 2013. Glasto have been doing the rounds lately.

Quite surprisingly they're acts that have been barely mentioned in these forums this year.

I won't be naming the acts. They're entitled to make their choice on their own basis, and that basis is not necessarily a snub to the festival.
