Right, on the basis that Glasto has to make do with headliners, who do people think will be the smaller acts they were planning to have second from top but will be bumped to headliner?

I reckon:

Mumford and Sons

Dizzee Rascal

Vazccines

Noel Gallagher

For bands they can get on an emergency 'I know you had no plans, but please play to help us out mate':

Radiohead

Blur

Pulp

The Who

( I know Pulp have no plans to play for the forseeable future, but hopefully they might change their mind with the Eavis's giving them an impassioned plea)

Also, Kasabian have no plans, and really want to headline, so i think they could be a last minute headliner

I don't think they really are in any sort of situation. Who knows when acts are normally signed? Stevie Wonder wasn't signed by this time.

I don't think them waiting this long will have any effect on who they want.

But on the basis of that, theres several more cult acts who could be given the push. Jack White and the like.

The timing is all wrong for the Stone and Cochella, all that effort getting back up to speed for one show? They're probably looking at a few large stadiums in the summer both here and in America where they can maximise the money they earn.

The west coast may be warm at that time of year but the majority of America isnt, it doesnt make sense for them to do one show, stop then start up again a few months later.

Oh ma goodness, no way will Dizzee Rascal, Vaccines, Noel Gallagher headline, not a chance.

I still think reading and leeds have snapped blur up, and Pulp don't seem to be doing live shows.

I can really see the headliners being

Arctics - Fleetwood Mac - Jayz And Kanye west.

Can honestly see it happening.

The article says they only have one booked but not neccessarily that others have turned them down. Neil said that acts have said no but not, as far as i am aware, specified that they were all headliners or really indicated any level of panic about it. Surely acts say no every year?

If acts, say the stones and fleetwood mac, have said no surely that frees up funds for other artists, so just because they bumped beyonce up doesn't mean they neccessarily will need to again, there's more than three major headliners in the world!

There was a lot of talk of Dizzee headlining when U2 pulled out. Not sure if it was ever a possibility.

Vaccines - no chance

Noel - suppose outside chance if desperate

Can't myself see WTT headlining. As Neil said he doesn't think Fleetwood high on the wanted list.

I think in light of all the non rumours:

Arctic Monkeys

The Rolling Stones (reckon they will myself)

Radiohead

I might rank some people on possibility of playing, these are my personal views.

High Possibility

Arctic Monkeys

Radiohead

Slight Possibility

WTT (H.O.V.A is friends with eavis)

Fleetwood Mac

Kings of Leon (please no)

Mumford & Sons

Lady Gaga (If they asked nicely I think she would).

Low Possibility

Rolling stones (From what information is circling I'm seeing the chances drop by every day! still have hope!)

The Killers (Isle Of wight)

Rihanna (tour dates)

Dizzie Rascal (Not big enough).

Muse (Not that long since they last played)

Coldplay (Depends if eavis is really stuck).

Blur (My hunch still tells me reading have snapped them up.)

Not gonna happen

Green Day

Pearl Jam

(Any other act that is headlining a festival on exclusive, Eminem/StoneRoses.

Surprisingly could happen if they get it right

I think 2013 has been harder to guess than recent years, to start with U2 were nailed on/announced fairly early in the year for both 2010 and 2011!

It could well be that the headlining acts will be completely different to those predicted, Stevie Wonder was 'revealed' at the start of February by Eavis with no other dates lined up for him that year so it was totally out of the blue! That could be possible for a lot of large-scale acts as they can sell tickets very easily, its interesting that's for sure!

Id move the stones up to slight possbility.

WTT - Kanyes having a baby around Glastonbury so that lowers the chances id think. The Killers will have an exclusive with IOW so they are out of the running, For Coldplay to headline two festivals running they'd have to be really really stuck

    • Oh I 100% agree and I'm questioning a lot.
    • That would be a day ticket for Friday going based on that. In 2027 that would suck for me lol.
    • And it's been moved forward a week, same weekend as RaR
