I really can't see why Dave Grohl is such a hated man,their shows are some of the most upbeat gigs i've ever been to, apart from Them Crooked Vultures,if i hadn't benn waiting for AC/DC i would have left.

Oh my God, Freud! You're completely right! Are there any other startling conclusions you can come to about me based on my dislike of a sycophantic rock star? I like lots of famous people, Dave Grohl just isn't one of them, he seems to always make a massive effort for everybody to love him and nobody to ever dislike him, seems far too needy to me. He also acts like a massive prick towards Courtney Love and always has done, i know she's hard work, but put her situation is context and be the bigger man instead of taking cheap shots to make yourself feel big, Dave.

Foo Fighters were fantastic at Reading. A highlight of the weekend. Tears at the Best Of You / Times Like These bit. They're unimpeachable at what they do. Of all the people in the world to dislike, Dave Grohl? Really?

grohl and the foo fighters are truly tragic.

If I find out someone is a foo fighters fan I immediately assume they are a little simple.

Pretension is often a good thing when making art - it speaks of ambition, intelligence and the desire to innovate and explore. Grohl seems utterly without pretension, which is perhaps why his output is so workmanlike and pedestrian, like some sort of hellish US version of the Stereophonics.
