2013 Headliners

I didn't enjoy them in 09 though slightly unfairly that may partly be because the crowd around me was c**t soup. They did push the crowds buttons though and their Reading set looked decent on TV. They're obviously chomping at the bit to do it but would just seem a totally uninspired booking. Especially next to Arctic Monkeys. We're just a Snow Patrol away from TITP at that stage

well you're either being awkward or are incredibly ignorant if you don't realise that the key demographic / main percentage of attendees of Hop Farm would appreciate a Bob Dylan headline performance more than the key demographic / main percentage of attendees of Glastonbury. if Dylan got announced as a headliner for Glastonbury an awful lot of people would have question marks over their heads as to why he was there in such a position. at Hop Farm... well, he's been there twice in the past three years. says it all

Well that was 5 pages of laughs I do love people shouting about having the right to express an opinion on an act (but as long its something thats currently popular in the dance/rnb/rap pop genre, as thats all different, innovative and new!)

Kasabian will do it..soonish...but not this year, not if they have arctic monkeys booked already at least. Even then I think they would maybe wait to get the PR for a new album. They'd make a pretty good job of it to!

Can I just say Kasabians first album was brilliant, and them on the Other Stage in 2005 was one of the best gigs I have seen at Glastonbury

Seen them a few times since and it has never quite matched that however, and not as keen at all on their other albums. But still better than most of the dross around at the moment

that doesn't surprise me one bit. as much as i don't like Kasabian, they're a perfect festival band. i can imagine Fire to be quite the fantastic sing along at a festival

Certainly not shouted down by me anyway. It was an absolute beast of a show in 2005. The white light / thunderous opening lick from 'Club Foot' was immense.

I love the first album aswell. Nothing theyve done since matches that period, sadly, but they had something about them then.

No one knows what this years demographic will be like till we get there.

What about the Traveling Wilburys reforming with someone like say Jimmy Page and Dave Grohl standing in for the 2 dead ones,real shame they never carried on.

Lost Souls is a great 'album' by the way. By the mighty Doves. A great festival band. Sorely missed

Basically agree with this. The problem with booking Kasabian for me is that them and the Monkeys looks sort of horrible as a line-up, especially when people were talking Stones, FM, Gaga etc.

But I'd rather Kasabian than Monkeys. I know Kasabian are at the peak of their popularity (and commercial exposure) which can be annoying. But I'd frankly rather that than the Monkeys, who have done very little of note since their last round of headlining performances.

There has been a notable decline in their live performances in recent years. Saying that, I'm always in favour of giving new acts headline spots, but as said, not this year for them.

because clearly an average Hop Farm crowd would 'get' a Dylan performance more than an average Glastonbury crowd
