Christ I hope this is true. 2011 will be my 5th Glastonbury (hopefully) and of all the staggering performances, goosebump inducing moments I've had, none have been late at night on the Pyramid stage. Beyoncé would totally make me lose my shit, in fact if she played Sweet Dreams, Single Ladies and Crazy In Love back to back that would probably be a literal statement. I really hope this isn't like "The Fleetwood Mac incident" from a couple of years back, time to start praying to the Holy Eavis's.

What the hell is this? They are both brilliant for people that think Party In The Park is a festival - They are both utterly dreadful if you have any taste in music or, indeed, a soul. Their music is made to sell records and for no other reason. Either would be an utterly dreadful booking. Seriously, grow up!

I'm not huge on beyonce but there is 100% no way she could play and not headline. She is arguably the biggest female solo artist on the planet. Only contenders are Madonna by default and Gaga, but I don't think she is quite there yet.

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
