Green Man 2026

Super strong line-up as always, nothing that has me bouncing off the walls quite as much as TVOTR did last year, but will be fantastic to finally see the Beta Band and Tricky, and I've been enjoying Casual Smart and Ulrika Specek among others on the playlist. Panic Shack always bring the party, and no matter how many times I see Mogwai they always blow my mind 🙂

Without wanting to turn this forum into a buy n' sell, if anyone doeeees have a spare adult ticket I can take off their hands (via tixel) that would be stunning. I managed to get tickets for myself and my daughter on release day for the first time in 4 years (we've been every year since 2012, minus 2014 and obvs 2020, just had to use fanticks/twickets for the last few), but in the panic of ticket day, and as my wife hasn't been too bothered for the past few I forgot that she wanted a ticket this year! D'oh!

My tixel link is: https://tixel.com/u/garetha14 , I'll buy you a growler as a thank you, too!

Think we’re in for some killer clashes with a lineup this good. Really hoping the following don’t overlap but I feel like they might due to genre difference:

Lime Garden and Charlotte Church

Wilco and Getdown Services

Bug Club and Haley Heynderickx

Wolf Alice, Sparks and Wednesday

Certainly didn’t have to worry about any clashes in 2024, this year blows it out the water for me.

Well those bottom 3 would be a fecker alright. You're right of course, the better the lineup, the more inevitable the clashes. I had some killers last year but I certainly didn't come away thinking about the stuff I missed.

Would really hope Sparks are on the main stage, just before Wolf Alice would be perfect (much like Devo last year).

Why doesn't GM have a proper home on the forum when so many (lesser?) festivals do? One all-purpose thread seems insufficient, really.

Anyway, I'm (probably) heading to my first Green Man this year. I've got settlement tickets but it's starting to look like I won't be able to make it until Wednesday/Thursday. Am I safe in assuming that I can just rock up whenever I fancy?

feel free to suggest in the website section , I know there were thoughts about a few changes to layout talked about . so sure its an idea @eFestivals might be happy to look at

Because currently we're working on a wider site/forum rebrand and restructure. It will be given one then.

I often thought the same myself but there's really very little traffic, right? I'd love a busier forum, more opportunity to chat about acts etc but it's pretty quiet in here. Lovely, but quiet.

Notice that Faye Webster is announced to play Cardiff the Monday of the GM weekend so good chance I feel that playing GM also? Hope so - will be an excellent addition on what is an already stacked line up.

Very much doubt someone is playing two south Wales dates that close together, and also it's the first date of her UK tour as she's in France over the weekend.

Thanks. Yeah I wondered that about 2 SW dated but as the Tramshed is a small venue thought GM may be a runner too. The French dates though will obviously rule her out.

Yep. You'll be absolutely fine. I'm fairly sure the Settlement Box Office is open for wristband collection throughout, albeit not after a certain time - you'd need to check that, as it can get a bit faffy if they're shut (although it tends to get sorted).

Also - yes to a dedicated spot on the rejigged efestivals site, in the hope that some bittier threads might generate a bit more traffic in themselves.

Thanks. I'll hopefully be able to jig things around and get there in time to spend a day or two exploring before the festival proper. In other news, the new Avalon Emerson album is very good, so that's another one for the clashfinder.

Dim problem, a pob lwc!

And ta for the Avalon Emerson tip. I'd lost sight of that coming out, but you are absolutely right - she's gone from my tier 2 to my tier 1, which is looking more than a trifle unmanageable already...

Jennifer Walton was my last delightful discovery, fwiw. Great record, and she does a brilliant show on NTS:

Charlotte Church was one of the busiest (and most fun) Walled Garden sets I've seen. I think they'll place her in Far Out after Mogwai, similar to Factory Floor's set after Kneecap last year. She usually plays the party slots at festivals.

Also, Getdown seem too big to headline Walled Garden but not big enough for Far Out so I reckon you'll be safe there maybe.

If anything, it's worth it just for Settlement parking. The shorter walk to the campsite and speedy getaway on Monday are blessings.

I bumped into the Getdown boys at Geese last night, I should have asked! Instead we just nattered about how good the show was.

I think in general, the run of four from Yankee Hotel Foxtrot to Sky Blue Sky is pretty amazing to be honest.

As far as getting excited for their live show, this is a good place to start ...

For some reason I'd never given Sky Blue Sky much of a listen back when it came out. Been correcting that lately since this announcement. Also been giving A Ghost is Born more of a whirl as I'd mostly just gone back to the other 2. Cheers for the reminder about those albums.

Both quality albums! If I had to pick, if the men came and they made me, with their guns, I'd probably pick A Ghost is Born is my favourite Wilco album but all of them are so great to sit with.

Definitely a little jealous.

I discovered Wilco through Summerteeth back when I was 14/15 and given it's absolute quality and hit at just the right time for peak teen nostalgia I don't think I could ever say I enjoy any Wilco more than that, but working through other stuff beyond that and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is still joyous. I'm so delighted they're at Green Man.

Really hoping we get a 2nd announcement of bands later in the year, and The Twilight Sad will be on it.

I don't think we're going to get much of a second announcement, compared to last year there are between nine and eleven (because of there being an excess announced for Sunday) gaps to be filled, most of which should be Rising finalists.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
