Would love this to be true! Sadly I don’t feel like they’re very GM and a bit too hyped and popular atm

I'm only telling you what the spirits (semi connected person) are telling me.

Surely if Magdalena Bay were playing they'd have already been announced for European festivals around that weekend, especially as their only currently announced date past May is in America two weeks before GM.

Wilco are playing in London on Thursday 20th August and Glasgow on Saturday 22nd, which if they're doing GM on either side of the latter date is some lengthy routing. Hovvdy support on both nights.

Nation Of Language have announced three nights in London on 18th-20th August.

The press release for Bathing Suits' new single states they'll be at the festival.

I was at a sort of showcase mini festival in Dublin last night, always a few acts that show up at EOTR, Green Man, Westside Cowboy there last year,  Being Dead, Opus Kink, Adult DVD this year, Mary in the Junkyard etc. There were a Swedish crowd there last night, Boko Yout. Absolutely unbelievable. LOVED them. Best front man I've seen in eons. Really hope they're on the bill for GM.

Sadly not, just spoke to the singer Paul and he said no 😞

Email confirming the line-up arrives some time next week and that it features "all four Mountain Stage headliners". They had officially joint headliners last year, TV On The Radio/Beth Gibbons, but also opened Mountain on Thursday one before, for Metronomy in 2022...

GM have just responded on social media that there is no Thursday headliner this year. Suggesting a TVOTR/ BG scenario again.

2022 was GM’s 20th anniversary so…

The VIN number for a 1966 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. Same car used in Thelma & Louise.

Clearly not gonna be Boygenius so probably Panic Shack? Actually SO chuffed with myself - I never get these!

Panic Shack have a song called Thelma & Louise, and there's some kind of vintage convertible in the video. Very likely they were going to play this year anyway (Welsh, surprise album chart success, played Rising in 2021, mate bumped into them there a couple of years ago)

Someone has pointed out that this instagram comment at the bottom on the first clue has been removed, would be interesting if true. Not sure which of Wilco, Wolf Alice and Four Tet would be considered a co-headliner alongside Wednesday. They’re all big enough to headline out right. Although I wonder if Wolf Alice are now too big (playing same outdoor shows as Fontaines last summer)

I absolutely love Wednesday and they're brilliant live - but are they really big enough to co-headline? Saw them last week in a 450 capacity venue that took some time to sell out!

i feel the same, Wednesday aren’t big enough the co-headline (hopefully they’ll be booked anyway).

Yeah Wolf Alice don't seem likely to me. Although intriguing that the comment was deleted/removed...

I know Wednesday were only there in 2024, but seeing as they're in Europe in August and a very decent fit for the festival generally I could see them being booked this year. Was it Bristol where they played a smallish venue? Went to their Leeds gig this week which was bumped up to the O2 (2,300 cap) and it sold out

Here's a fairly random list of acts who could potentially be on the undercard, many of them cribbed from other posts on here: Book of Churches, Group A.D., Langkamer, Sean Trelford, Smerz, Madra Salach, Shaking Hand, Formal Sppeedwear, The Orielles
