I was told last night that Four Tet is one of the headliners. Shame and Dove Ellis will also be playing.

Hate to say I told you so.....

Summerteeth always my go to.

Will second this. Although I'm currently giving Yankee Hotel Foxtrot a first whirl in forever. I definitely feel those 2 stand out.

Yeah, also great. They'll be brilliant, loved them at EOTR a couple of years ago and on the subsequent tour. Hoping for a balmy evening, an appropriate level of alcoholic merriness, only the loveliest of people around me and Jeff on top form.

I don't usually get to go to both GM and EOTR in the same year, so didn't catch that. One of the few acts that hit teen nostalgia for me that I neither saw back in the day or recently so delighted to see them at Green Man.

A bit sickened I went blind for an End of the Road ticket as had done Green Man the last few years and wanted to go back to Larmer Tree Gardens. This is maybe my favourite festival lineup of the last few years. Hoping I'll get lucky in resales but not feeling confident.

Great line up - but have to say i am relatively in the dark about Wilco. Any suggestion as to where I should start?

I think Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is the best way in (and I think Jesus, etc. from that is probably their most well known song?), but really it's almost all very good!

I think in general, the run of four from Yankee Hotel Foxtrot to Sky Blue Sky is pretty amazing to be honest.

As far as getting excited for their live show, this is a good place to start ...

First time to GM for me! Pretty solid line up though still a bit sickened that EOTR got Pulp once I'd decided to do GM instead 😂

Now we know the line up, I'm wondering what to have on my agenda beyond the main stages - what are your first timer rec's for daytime exploring and late night dancing?

If the sun's out, early morning coffee and a pastry on the hill at the back of the main arena, soaking up the gorgeous scenery, a womble up to check the board outside Round the Twist for the pop up gigs, then down for a sit down at the Rising Stage to watch the uniformly excellent early starters there. But to be honest, do anything you want in any order, you'll have a ball. I'm only on my 3rd, I envy anyone finding it for the 1st time. Enjoy!

Can't wait to see Wilco again, they were SO good last time I saw them.

As for a way in, I'd say Sky Blue Sky is an ideal starting point, a little less of the off-piste stuff that Hotel Yankee Foxtrot drifts into. I'm a fan of that stuff, but as a more casual listener, my Mrs hates the white noise gubbins.

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
