Boomtown 2026 lineup

I’ve never been to Boomtown. A few of my crew at Shambala reckon I should definitely go. Guess I’d quite like to see the setup once and there’s always enough on the bill to keep me entertained.

However, I’m an old git, possibly too old. Also the drug search policy gives me anxiety just thinking about it.

So should I go?

Yes!

Boomtown is much more mixed age wise than it used to be and everyone should experience it at least once.

I hated it for the first 24 hours I was there but if ai go next year it’ll be my 4th & I’ll be 62!

If I go I’ll be working it and will have a secure fenced off park up, which will make things much more comfortable.

I think this looks like it's going to be a LOT of fun!

image.thumb.jpeg.db2139da3c17c8aa453be082e29f4b89.jpegI think this looks amazing.

Its probably one of the best opening Boomtown posters I've seen. Scissor Sister, Faithless, Scooter, Ashinikko, Shaggy, Skindred, Less Than Jake. Don't need to see Less Than Jake  again but I'd take them at a festival having never been before. I however can't afford it.

I'm also an auld duffer and thoroughly enjoy it. It osn't one that I'd want to go to every year and after the last time I went in 2022 when there was the almoat unbelievable heatwave I thought that that would be my last time as I enjoyed it so much no other Boomtown would be able to match it.

This year's line up ticks so many boxes that I think I'll probably be there again.

I'd say definately go once. As you haven't been before, despite your long history of festivals, you'll still find the level of production, quality of sound in many places and the visual impact close to jaw dropping.

@wro_lapIt does tend to sell quick, especially if you want any kind of live in vehicle or camping upgrade.

It will almost certainly sell quicker this year as it’s a Glastonbury fallow year and there seems to be general positivity across all age ranges about the line up.

I’m even expecting it to be a sell out on priority for Oxfam volunteering.

@Skip997 - It wasn’t the camping that bothered me when I went (I was in Oxfam camping anyway) - it was the fact that I felt 103, & no festival had made me feel like that before, but then I got over myself and found that the crowd there are just the best and I didn’t feel old at all anymore, and the age range has got more mixed year on year anyway - not least simply with its original crowd carrying on going, as well as some older people trying it and loving it too.

I'm gonna try for tickets on Friday. Will be my first time, was also bit worried about being too old (50 next year!) but that initial line up is outstanding. Will tickets sell out in minutes like Glastonbury?  Also, anyone know what time tickets go on sale..?

I've done it a couple of times. Last one was a couple of years or COVID, can't remember exactly when. It definitely skewed younger but at 40ish I didn't feel remotely old.

Brilliant crowd as well. I mean, of course they're were people complaining it wasn't as good as it first was and was more aggy now (then) but wasn't remotely my experience. Good at looking out for each other too. I was flaked out in a venue one late morning after a night shift and the number of people checking up on me was lovely and annoying.

i've done it a few times as an old duffer, and have to agree with sawdusty, plus boomtown has a lot of what Glastonbury used to be, also what it has now including committed freeloaders!

Do more big names get announced or will the rest of the line up be filled with DJs?

I don't think we know, because they've switched up their music policy (and layout) this time, and that probably means there'll be significantly more live acts than in recent years.

In terms of how quickly it will sell out, they have already sold over half their tickets in the first wave of sales, so I would expect them to sell out fairly quickly, but it won’t be Glastonbury levels of tickets sales. Would suggest getting tickets as early as possible if you do want to go though

I’m going to say sometime towards April to sell out, maybe May when it starts getting warmer

they've sold the most tickets they’ve ever sold by this point, so it should be a record year for selling out. Historically Glastonbury weekend has always been roughly when they sold out, but i think it’ll be earlier than that

Absolutely hyped for next year now.  I missed Alberosie last time due to errr alcohol.

Wondering if they can expand the site all for camping or is the fence "fixed"?

Skylark will have to be moved again for town center/grand central I presume but where will it go?  There isn't enough room to combine it with Orchid as far as i can tell.

CV's is in a shi**ty location and can only get worse i suspect but that doesn't seem big enough or suitable for Skylark.

not many places that campervans can go really, needs to be flat and somewhere that doesn’t require driving past normal camping areas

Given Madness are opening on Friday - would i be naive to think we can expect another top line act to come? Or will everything be smaller.

Happy with the lineup but would love some extra oomph at the top end.

Good point, surely they need a big headliner for Friday night
