I'd even go as far as to say that I have hated this festival the last years, but I have a real problem seeing any faults with how next year's edition is shaping.

Alongside what might be Primavera Sound Porto's lineup, I think we are bound for an amazing year of festivals here in Portugal

NOS alive has really returned to form this year. The line-up is already very good and it´s not even November yet.

I actually think most of these lineups will be stacked this year without having good acts but just without the huge headliners (which suits me)

I’m still thinking that Foos won’t play festivals next summer, at least in June/July.

How many headliners do people think are still to come? This is shaping up quite nicely and tickets are quite cheap, so could be an option for us...

Yes, I agree. If festivals produce good undercards like this I don´t mind who is headlining really.

Florence is the only big draw so far and even her is not in her prime. having one hit wonders like teddy swims is horrible.no one cares about him next year or next 2 years. hell put him in the heineken stage and push pixies to the main one.

 

nick cave cant sell 50k/60k tickets and i like nick cave, im sorry he doesnt have the chops to be a headliner of NOS Alive he just doesnt.

Am sure it's been answered before but how is this festival, music aside? Is transport from the city to the fest convenient enough? Worth extending my stay to spend some more time in Lisbon?

Thinking of doing this as an alternative to Primavera

You don‘t have high standards. You are just getting old (and grumpy). Bands that headlined years ago aren‘t feasible anymore. And most festival goers don‘t have interest in them anymore. I don‘t mind Foo Fighters but they are dad rock now. Perfect stadium gig for middle aged men (like me) but nothing that would attract a larger festival crowd. Bring on something new!

Well organised, though can be a bit busy at food stalls and toilets between bands. Transport is very easy, festival site is right alongside the train line and the train runs most of the night. Train can be busy getting back to Lisbon after hours.

Definitely worth extending, Lisbon is great and you can easily get the train down the coast for a beach day (We stay in Cascais which has great beaches and brilliant restaurants)

And how's the site? Is it literally just stages, toilets and food stalls or are there places to chill too? One thing I dislike about Primavera Barcelona is all the concrete lol

it was covoes itself that last said last year he knows that if he brings pearl jam the festival sells out all combo tickets (2 day and 3 day) and the day they play in 2 or 3 days the most. 

bring in good bands/artists and people will go.

 

Olivia Rodrigo which a new artist , sold the most tickets last year as everyone was expecting since she played 2 nights at MEO Arena which were sold out (or the 2nd one close to)

I actually agree that Pixies should be on main and Teddy Swims in the tent.

 

I think Pixies & Florence is a hard clash which shouldn’t be the case.

And of course… you can only book who is 1. Touring and 2. Wants to do festivals.

Trust me - the tent is a much better place for concerts one wants to see. Aside from headliners, of course, the experience there is always better aside from the risk of clashing.

It's relatively spacious in the day but can get crowded at night. Very commercial so sponsors have stalls all around the perimeter. We find the Fado Cafe a good place to chill, sit on the floor and listen to mournful Portuguese music.

There's a lot of benches in the food area to sit down. The site is a bit soulless as it is basically a car park. The coffee is good and the beer/wine etc is pretty cheap.

When would you expect the bulk of the lineup to be announced? I prefer when fests just do one bug poster instead of one at  a time

Nick Cave is playing that same weekend though. He has the tendency to play the best set of the festivals he's booked for.

Especially if the fee asked by FF can get you 3-4 artists that are actually relevant in 2025/26..
