Yeah Dua Lipa after Nin was weird, but Qotsa into Depeche Mode into Nine Inch Nails was beautiful

Depeche Mode into Nine Inch Nails both feels thematic, given that NIN were inspired by DM, and a strange one given the "I love Depeche Mode" soliloquy Jared Leto apparently has in the NIN-soundtracked Tron Ares.

I don't know what the rumour is for Foo Fighters but they put a thing on social media yesterday hinting new music is imminent. The buzz is that they're on the road in Europe next summer after all, so maybe they'll surface somewhere in Portugal. Maybe.

Jack Johnson was on before QOTSA too. Had never seen him before but really enjoyed it. Underworld played after Dua Lipa. Was potentially one of the most wild and eclectic days musically I've ever had at a festival looking back at that.

I've certainly had that feeling from either being or just scanning line-ups at a lot of festivals tbf. Lollapalooza Paris 2018 had a few of those when I went along - day one had a flow of Kasabian -> Travis Scott -> Depeche Mode, while day two was Noel Gallagher -> Nekfeu -> The Killers -> Gorillaz. All suitably mixed up.

Hoping for Olivia Dean, expecting something I don’t care about like Mumford or 21 Pilots.

INmusic is also announcing a headliner at the same time… it’s a smaller festival, but I guess it will be the same act. 
 

Doesn’t make a lot of sense to be 21 Pilots, since they are announcing their appearances without coordinating times.

I’m probably barking up the wrong tree as it’s very different line-up wise but Sweden Rock Festival looks to be announcing tomorrow. Highly doubt it’s linked, could all be 3 different artists, could be the same for all we know but another to keep an eye on

Saw that NOS Alive and INmusic always share acts. It’s almost certain that it’s the same. With Sweden Rock I’m not that sure…

I don't get this type of comments... I too don't know him but it's not like you're gonna know everyone on the lineup. Besides, he appears to be a par for the course confirmation for NOS Alive.

He’s not though.  Very popular especially in the UK, Florence, Lorde and him on the main stage isn’t bad at all.

For me it didn't disappoint, nor surprise, it's a normal opening band on the Main Stage.... create less expectations about NOS Alive... I already said that.
