Yeah Dua Lipa after Nin was weird, but Qotsa into Depeche Mode into Nine Inch Nails was beautiful

Depeche Mode into Nine Inch Nails both feels thematic, given that NIN were inspired by DM, and a strange one given the "I love Depeche Mode" soliloquy Jared Leto apparently has in the NIN-soundtracked Tron Ares.

Jack Johnson was on before QOTSA too. Had never seen him before but really enjoyed it. Underworld played after Dua Lipa. Was potentially one of the most wild and eclectic days musically I've ever had at a festival looking back at that.

I've certainly had that feeling from either being or just scanning line-ups at a lot of festivals tbf. Lollapalooza Paris 2018 had a few of those when I went along - day one had a flow of Kasabian -> Travis Scott -> Depeche Mode, while day two was Noel Gallagher -> Nekfeu -> The Killers -> Gorillaz. All suitably mixed up.

I don't get this type of comments... I too don't know him but it's not like you're gonna know everyone on the lineup. Besides, he appears to be a par for the course confirmation for NOS Alive.

Some people just Lose Control with their expectations...

for the NOS Stage(which is the main stage) , im sorry but this is completly unaccpetable

a complete unknown , a letdown indeed

He’s not though.  Very popular especially in the UK, Florence, Lorde and him on the main stage isn’t bad at all.

A complete unknown that has 46M monthly listeners on spotify.

More than any name announced till now and more than any of the names talked on this thread, except for Sabrina Carpenter.

I don't like his music also, but that doesn't mean he does not deserve the spot.

...a let down for you. A complete unknown for me and you. Far from being an actual complete unknown, though. This is a par for the course day-starting lineup confirmation

    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
    • This Isaac wood news has dropped right out of left field. Great to hear he feels up to doing live stuff again    what will he play? Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
    • Wow, Blink-182 back so soon. They’re the band they’ve never booked then. Great booking if they’ve got them.    Deftones, Papa Roach, Knocked Loose   Lamb of God   Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte   Megadeth   Slipknot, Gojira, Motionless In White   All Time Low
