Glastonbury 2025 Earworms

What have been your earworms since getting home from Glastonbury? I always find it so interesting what songs the brain keeps subconsciously ruminating on as it might not necessarily be your favourite moment or a song you would have chosen!

I started off with Head Over Feet by Alanis, but it’s now switched to I Don’t Want To Talk About It by Rod.

Want You In My Soul - Lovebirds.

Played by Groove Armada to close out their Levels set on the Sunday night. So catchy. So, so catchy.

Annoyingly, yes, I Don't Want To Talk About It has also ben one of the songs that has been impossible to shake off so far.

Mine has now changed to “I hid inside her wardrobe, and she came home round four…”

Which is not a creepy thing at all to keep randomly singing… 🤣

Could be worse, you could be a 48 year old male youth hostel manager who keeps singing it! I've got my DBS, honest!

TBF, not just that. Pretty much all of the Pulp set minus the two new ones and the one old one, just cos I don't know them as well.

This - on repeat!

There won't be fighting in the street
They think they've got us beat
But revenge is going to be so sweet, oh-oh-oh
We're making a move, we're making it now
We're coming out of the sidelines
Just put your hands up, it's a raid, yeah
We want your homes, we want your lives
We want the things you won't allow us
We won't use guns, we won't use bombs
We'll use the one thing we've got more of
That's our minds

I was born
To perform
It's a calling
I exist
To do this
Shouting and pointing

And by the way
Spike Island
Come alive
And by the way
This time I'll get it right
Oh

Theme tune of the festival that 👌🏼

I'm not looking for trouble, I'm looking for love
I'm looking for love
Will you let me in your hard heart?
Let me in your hard heart, let me in your pub

Had this stuck in my head for days - it's so catchy.

Doctor Pressure got a lot of play last weekend

Really, really did. Confidence Man b2b Job Jobse and Groove Armada at Levels off memory and a couple more times in between. It was a lovely dovetailing of the weekend in some ways.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
