Oh to be only 56 next time. I'll be 63 and if I'm there I can't imagine not still being up at dawn pretty much every day as usual.

I’ll also be 63 and same, can’t imagine not being up at dawn every day. I thought it was compulsory

For those of us who are not getting younger and who finally had the first taste of Glastonbury experience, the almost 2 years wait is too long.

My mind was very much ready for all the works I need to do in order to do even 10% out of what I have in my long lists for my first Glastonbury experience as oh boy each night / next day early morning there I stopped and took a much-deserved rest as I listened to my body and once my mind/souls told me that the 10% of what I had done out of what I am planning for the day are some of the greatest things I did/see in my life that I never experienced or will never do it anywhere. The musical lineup was like perfect for my tastes and even though pretty much everyone in my must-sees clashes and saw barely or also 10% as it was my body which told me to stop, you’ve seen or did so much of a good thing already.

I can’t wait to be back on now what I can consider the best musical and whatnot place on earth. My plan of action for Glastonbury v2.0 (hitting more of non-major musical list next time) is most certainly going to be different than my Glastonbury v1.0. I will be more prepared physically and I’ll most likely stay in the same campsite but will not practically bring anything with me the next time. I won’t care for having too much of having many bucket list musical acts as that was done in my first. There’s a more likely chance that those I missed or failed to see will be back again next time anyway.

It was like the greatest thing ever in my life already with accomplishing only 10% out of my planned/wished to do/see in my long list lol. It is probably much more excruciating or difficult surviving this wait thru the next Glastonbury if my body or if my musical gods went 100% for me on my first try there. It is like maybe that I am so eager to do what I failed to do 2 weeks ago or that we need this thing to go on at least a week or twice a year and not having a fallow year haha. Festival like Glastonbury is the one that needs 2 weeks/weekends!

Sorry 3 posts in a row. To clarify: 2 weeks/weekends (more days, just we all plan for those vacation/Glastonbury days at our greatest place on earth) so we don’t have to be sleepless or run like a mad man/woman from one place into another in order to do even 50% of what it has to offer in a given year or as it should, enjoying and doing / digesting everything slowly and easy as we will have plenty of days to enjoy it!

I will be 51, dam. I thought this year would be my last as I didn't have an amazing one in 2022, felt far too crowded at times.

Well 2025 was epic with my now all grown up family and I already have ticket day fear.

I’ll be 71, Age is just a number, it’s how you feel, how you try and squeeze as much out of life as you can. This year was probably our best ever, but then, just like Michael Eavis, I say that every year!
contrary to popular belief you don’t just sit on a rug in the acoustic stage as you get older. The thrill of seeing new acts break through on the main stages is worth the ticket price alone.
51? you’ve decades of Glastos still to go!😊😉

I'll be 57 and kind of thought I wouldn't go again because it's a lot of money and effort and for something called young people but friends I went with are saying let's do it.

I should really be at Glyndebourne.

Glyndebourne is only down the road from me, and ive never been. I kind of want to, but gathering by the dress and the looks of a lot of people who go, i cant imagine itll be too comfortable. or fun. or in any way affordable. it seems colossally elitist

I’ll be 67yrs in 2027! I think as long as I am fit enough I will still keep going but either as volunteer or pre-erected camping/campervan as I am too old to drag my stuff over from the car parks! I will have enough points by then with Oxfam for priority for 27. I really enjoyed my time this year having got pre-fest  shifts which meant I could chill out more Weds/Thurs and pace myself over the festival. If nothing else I will go just to annoy my older sister who keeps telling me I am too old to go to gigs or festivals when I have literally been doing this since for 50 years!

I wouldn't overthink it tbh.  Went to see London Philharmonic at Brighton Dome and it was great. Just don't sing along 🤣

actually, someone i know has done a lot of the promo etc for the classical stuff at the Dome, and cos of its venue its far more approachable and human, its not all black tie and all that sort of cobblers. i do prefer orchestral stuff to operas too on the whole - and going to things at the Dome is just always good, its great in there!

I used to regularly go to see classical gigs in Birmingham. Great when you’re  stoned

The time the Glastonbury magical bugs bitten me one after another like it was a wonderful or most magnificent feeling unlike any other I have had in my lifetime, was when transitioning from one area into another passing random little stages or sets (Babylon Uprising, Bread & Roses, “street” or “forest” musicians under the trees at Woodsies area and so many others too many to mention) being swarmed by or having an electrifying great time or providing that dramatic atmosphere all over I’ve never seen anywhere. I was like thanks for this absolute happiness and magic I needed like it was the oxygen or something like an energizer injected to me and each of those moment I have had a minute or 2 to decide as each indecisive action can be fatal at Glastonbury (JK I was calm and chill taking or processing the magic or in moments of decision-making) whether to proceed going to my planned would be next magical destination or stay a little bit more in this random magic!

The walk thru or passing by each day or people-watching at The Park, Ribbon Tower and many other areas, at the hill, Glastonbury sign and at those longest roads at Glastonbury are the most incredible scenes I’ve had the privilege to witness and enjoy that will surely go down - don’t really know the exact word to describe my feelings on it - like you don’t need to see a single act to say why that place is magical or special!

I’ll be 62 in 2027. How did that happen?!!  Said this year (#17) would probably be my last. But it was SO epic, the vibe was amazing, and I will 💯 be trying for tickets again next November. All being well that is. Next year, deciding on EOTR, Green Man, or Bearded Theory. Or maybe Beautiful Days which I love, but the dates don’t always work for us.

Yeah, opera's not really my thing either.  I recognise the skill, and it's more about the voice as an instrument than listening to a singer per se, but it does leave me a bit cold.  A ballet is next on the list, watched the Nutcracker at Christmas in the cinema as a broadcast from the national ballet, but never live.

And yep, love the Dome.  It's tight between there and Concorde as my fav venue in Brighton.

BDs is normally the same weekend as GM I think?

I'm in a similar boat for next year.  If I do BDs it'll be because my brother loves it and it's more about hanging out with him.  I'm working on convincing him to try another one, but he very much likes the familiar.

Always tempted by BT, the lineup always looks good and @Gnomicide sings its praises on a regular basis.

Might see if I can afford to do 2 next year and aim for BT and either GM or BDs.
