Does anyone else struggle to sleep before Glastonbury?

I only managed a few hours last night as I was constantly singing Pulp songs to myself in my head.

Now have a full day at work to get through. Hope I can sleep better tonight as I don't want to start the festival shattered!

Same thing happened last year - couldn't get a wink on the Tuesday night. I'm like a kid before Christmas.

I'm not as excited as I used to be. But I know that once my tent is up and I open an I am at Glastonbury beer, I'll start looking forward to the five days ahead of me. Which are always a good time.

Yep, terrible night's sleep. A bit like a kid at Christmas, coupled with sweaty bedroom and mosquito bite during night 🤪

Worked out alright as been up since 04:30 finishing stuff of so I can get to that Paddington train at 18:34!

I'm a bit annoyed at myself.....I went out with some old friends on Saturday then tucked into some *ahem* *supplies* I had for next weekend......could barely get out of bed yesterday and not only did I not do a load of prep for the festival I mentally put myself in bit of a bad place.

Feel a bit better today and I'm hoping the anticipation/excitement returns tomorrow ahead of my early Weds AM departure.

You'll be good after another nights sleep!

I’ve reached how will all that go in there stage of packing.

Empty rucksack where I chucked it out the cupboard, gathering of piles elsewhere.

Clothes need doing today.  Hopefully they still fit my corpulent carcass

Recite your planned schedule in your head for each day until you fall asleep. Keeps the excitement high, but is monotonous enough that its like counting sheep and helps you drift off, also helps you remember your plan so that on the day its all in your head already.

It always creeps up so quick when I get resale. Don’t feel ready at all. Excited yes but a lot to do today, I always feel bad leaving my cats alone as well. Sad w*nker.

Nah, worst thing about Glasto is having to leave my dogs with their dog walker for 5 days. Miss the little f**kers when theyre not around, but she has promised to send daily updates of how they are doing.

I've just rewatched Glastonbury The Movie and can now feel the excitement levels rising. Looking forward to being back at good old Glastonbury.

It’s the most difficult night’s sleep of the year for me, and I still haven’t cracked how to do it properly. I’ll go to bed at 9pm and hope to get 4-5 hours before my pick up at 3:15am. I usually manage about 3, but that’s starting to affect my entire festival as I get a bit older.
