Still dont think anything is going in the occident gap. The decibel limit will be for the whole site not stage by stage. They are clearing the way for MBV to be very loud as they are renowned for and will have had to be promised in order to book them.

Sorry folks, I'm being very selfish but I hope you're right because MBV might be my most anticipated act and I really want the full experience. I've heard so much about how loud they are and a part of me thinks they won't be able to do that at Primavera.

They were fecking loud in 2013.  The stage was facing out to sea back then, dunno if the orientation will change their volume this year.

Pau Cristòful, from the Primavera Sound booking team, names his must-see acts

“Cameron Winter - Auditorium - 5PM

I mean, duh! The auditorium has only 3,000 seats so make sure to get your festival wristband in advance and be there a few hours in advance to secure your seat.”

Say, what?

..and all of Friday, depending on where you read! Yuck. I should probably buy a waterproof then eh..

Better to be prepared 😜

I have a few of those plastic ponchos from a few years ago, which are good, but also end up unbearably hot. I'm bringing a waterproof instead!

Just classic arse-covering in case it ends up being too busy. Well, you can't say we didn't warn you!

You might be right, but if this is the case, I can't say I'm a fan of it.

One band being so loud that:

1. it prevents anyone else from playing on the opposite side of the venue (and limiting the variety of choices Primavera is known for),

2. it leads to rearrangements on other stages and creating clashes where there shouldn't be any (Grace Ives/Bestia Bebé),

3. it creates a completely unnecessary soundbleeding experience for both Grace Ives and Bestia Bebé fans

is something I really can't appreciate.

That's how loud they are, and it's completely ridiculous and irresponsible, in my humble opinion (and I'm saying this as a big fan of their music). They should really grow up, if you ask me, but they're obviously deaf as a nail by now.

Saw them in London in November - it was insanely loud. At times I thought this must be what the end of the world sounds and feels like. No words can really describe the experience. For the love of god and your hearing have earplugs on standby 😵

How will it be in an outdoors setting ??? I'm intrigued , but hard to believe it could be as intense.

I thought we could pick up our festival wristbands in that separate Cameron Winter queue?? Good lord I'm confused

Scanning a few different forecasts most now have Thursday evening/night as rainy ,clearing by Friday morning.

Hopefully not a repeat of 2014 when it was absolutely torrential and we made the decision to race back to hotel to change clothes as we were so soaked 🙄

Fingers crossed it improves

Jesus! Well I already have tinnitus from stupidly not wearing earplugs for years at gigs, so I'll echo this advice for anyone else. I've had Loop ones since last year that help.

I can echo this, I saw them at Roundhouse in 2008 but outdoors the volume was still overwhelming

    • My understanding is that the queues returning back to the UK will be much worse (up to two hours) but the queue entering Lisbon isn’t so bad. That’s just from reading a few forum posts about it though so take it with a pinch of salt!

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
