So the first 9,8 and 9 names are singled out and we can determine stage placements. So then where do we place West Holts, Park and Woodsies headliners in those names.

So might be:

Fri

Pyramid: 1975, Biffy, Alanis

Other: Loyle Carner, Gracie Abrams

WH: Busta Rhymes

Woodsies: Wet Leg, Four Tet

Park: Maribou State

Sat

Pyramid: Neil Young, Raye, John Fogerty

Other: Charli

WH: Ezra Collective

Woodsies: Deftones

Park: Amyl

Sun:

Pyramid: Olivia, Rod, Nile

Other: Prodigy, Noah Kahan

WH: Jorja Smith

Woodsies: Wolf Alice, Libertines

Park: Overmono

My taste in music is clearly so off because I do not understand the tremendous levels of hate this lineup is getting online.

I know, I know, it's my own fault for reading the comments

sadly the nature of the world now 😞 ... reality is most of those wont be bothering trying to get tickets whatever the lineup

Last few weeks I've reinstated my rule of not reading the bottom half of the internet. Life feels so much better for it

tbf ive eaten schweinshax'n in Bavaria, and thats basically a knuckle, which is very much like a kneecap stylistically/osteopathically speaking - classic breakfast dish (if you like gout)

One for the future. How does it compare to trotter?

Looks to be a fair bit more meat on a hax'n, but i absolutely would demolish a trotter or two! Jeez, i'm going to have to sit and think about amazing roast pork now, when ive got salad and fruit for lunch ffs

Is there much potential for a Basement Jaxx hole left in the lineup? If doechii and Busta Rhymes are confirmed WH headliners, that would only leave space on the Sunday.

Busta Rhymes is headlining West Holts?!

Not going this year. Didn't get tickets.

But... for me,

Overall headliners a bit weak on the whole... but there is loads on there I'd have gone to see. Pretty solid all in all!

I think when you aren't going it's easy to slip in to the 'there's not much for me' mindset. And the opposite if you are going. Most years it's probably fairly level in how good it is really!

As for lineup hate, I'm mostly seeing criticism for the headline trio. Undercard appears to be broadly praised.

That's where I'm at!  Won't be going to any Pyramid headliners, but very happy with lots of other acts - can see 3-4 things each day that I would possibly go to.  Most of all, just hoping that Alanis Morissette and Gary Numan don't clash with acts I'd like to see on Acoustic and Avalon.

Unmissable during the day, but a weak headliner option.

I'd argue the contrary for me - i saw kelis and will almost certainly see Busta headlining at WH, and if it were mid-afternoon at the pyramid or whatever, i'd probably not bother with either

Theres absolutely loads of this line up that I would class as not my usual choice. However I find if there is one act a day I aim and succeed in seeing, I've done well. The rest of the day I just lucky dip it and it's amazing!

This year none of the headliners are my thing, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. The rest of the line up has some real gems!

Yeah, but to be fair to the headliners, they are only 3 acts with 3 styles. The probability of liking one or all of them are quite low - especially when compared to the mass of names below them.

Does Raye deserve to be a sub on the Pyramid stage with no new music out since 2023? She already performed at Glasto with her debut album in 2023, what is she going to do this year? I thought they were just gonna wait and let her headline in 2027

    • I'm bemused why Jaissle hasn't been confirmed yet. If he and his coaches are already there, surely the paperwork to send this through must be somewhat sorted and confirmation imminent, no?   Feel like clubs are soft on tapping up now as an industry, right? I swear most deals seem to be a case that personal terms are agreed beforehand. In an older life, this Bruno deal has a potential case imo given the use of intermediaries to plant a seed in Bruno's mind this was a good idea (much I'm prepared to accept last season's mess would likely have had Bruno doubting if he wanted to stay regardless) but the industry seems more forgiving of this stuff at present. Wind seems to be picking up that a deal is about to happen regardless. Shame as I'd have been more willing to accept a move to Real Madrid but it is what it is.   Would be nice if we could show some more balls with this stuff tbf. Feel like the owners are taking a strange lesson from Isak last year in that now, we just have to let everyone go at the first sign of trouble, even though other clubs in a similar boat to us are seemingly more willing to turn back and tell pursuers to f**k off.
    • I wouldn't. U2 would almost certainly be doing stadiums and Muse have been saying they have stadium shows booked. They're the likelier of the two to be doing BST Hyde Park, but my expectations would be to expect them turning up at a stadium.
    • Exactly. One rumour doing the rounds was that they were playing 2 stadium shows in Greece next summer and that I would assume it'll be part of the same tour to do a London stadium gig.
    • Fontaines would be excellent, if not for the fact R+L have them this year. Spurs feels bold - though achievable, of course.
    • Start your engines.    Going to hazard a guess at St. Vincent, Faith No More and LCD Soundsystem as the more boutique "coup" options.    Expect Rick Astley one among the Radio 2-friendly bankers.    Let the guesswork commence!
