Done enough listening to get my itinerary in (clash dependent of course). Going off clash finder as a sort of guide my plan will be something like:

 Friday:

Caskets

POD

Hollywood Undead*

Creeper

Pendulum*

Electric Callboy or Daughtry.

Cypress Hill*

Halestorm*

Limp Bizkit

Then might leave early and catch some Cavalera.

Saturday:

The Wildhearts*

Tailgunner*

Maybes some of Drowning Pool

Die Spitz

Black Veil Brides or Those Damn Crows

Baby metal

Bush*

Marmozets

Guns and Roses*

Sunday

Unpeople or Mould

Catch Your Breath

Mammoth*

Dogstar*

Bloodywood

The Pretty Reckless*

Dinosaur Pile Up*

Tom Morello or Ash

Mastodon*

Scooter

Linkin Park

* Bands I have as must see, should get most of them going by the clash finder. Might miss one or two or miss a bit of some.

Then also Electric Six, Nic Cage Against the Machine, Bat Sabbath of they aren't too ridiculous to get in on Thursday.

Linkin Park getting a shorter set than LB who struggle to fill longer than 1hr 10 without tape recordings is a bit crazy lol. But also means not even Download got them for longer than 1.5 hours and they usually get everyone longer even if by a little. GNR 3hrs 20 is pure madness though.

How long do Linkin Park play on their headline tours?

Their tour was 1hr 20 scraping with tape recordings for at least 15 minutes of it. They drag it on a lot. If you're going to just have a dj play tape recordings, just sign your own songs and drag then out a bit

3 hours 20 for GnR must surely be a mistake? WTAF.

Nope.

The only headliner in recent history to clash with second snd 3rd stage purely because that long a set means they have to. And no one cares about them headlining lol

Long time listener, first time caller 😁.... I did actually win a pair of tickets in the same Vodafone comp mentioned in the previous post and just wanted to know how quickly everything fills up camp wise as probably can't really make it over until the Thursday at the earliest? Would likely be in the furthest bit from the main site anyway so hoping that would take longer but if anyone can give a vague idea then that would be helpful cheers 🙂

My mate finally confirmed he could make Friday for a day ticket, go to purchase...see sold out 😪

Do extra tickets ever get released closer to the festival?

Will keep an eye out for resale/twickets etc.

I'm guessing that 90 minutes is what LP are happy with, given DL are usually good at giving headliners what they want.

There was a part of me questioning LP at RIP vs Download if I didn't go to Download but that's kinda changed. It’s usually 1hr 45 minimum. I think it's purely that they will ride the wave, you keep it 1.5 hours, leave some songs for their own tour and people will come back. I am still on the lookout for a Sunday ticket but probably for the undercard second and 3rd stage more than anything.

A less exciting question:

How easy is it to get to the south entrance to the arena if on foot as a weekend only ticket holder?

The drive to the hub drop off on the north side and the following walk was a sod last year.

Getting Creeper to fill the headline slot vacated by Static-X isn’t a good booking. They’re already on the lineup, will have played 9 slots in the last 11 years and are doing their current vampire tour schtick during BOTH sets. You’re telling me they couldn’t have found another UK based band who were available with 3 weeks to go?

With tickets for weekend sold out I believe there is probably no great deal to bother

The weather forecasts are a little tricky to judge! Accu weather predicting that it could be just about perfect, BBC is showing quite a lot of rain!

You're looking about a week too soon, a few days before will be more accurate and even then things can change quickly.

Are you sure it's not just another stage type from Serious Stages? Pretty sure I saw one of their trucks heading that way the other day.

On site tomorrow night so will have a look.

I could be mistaken - but it doesn't look to fit any of their portfolio https://www.stages.co.uk/festivals-events

Looks to be more similar to Star Live's Titan (Same platform used for BST Hyde Park
