Surely it selling out is something you’d want to make a big song and dance about. Considering they’ve not done that I think they’ll create additional five day tickets from the three day ones later.

I don't think they will. I think they have a set number they can sell because of what happened in 2023 and need to spread the traffic arriving out better over Wednesday and Friday because of it.

You will definitely get some resales of Twickets though, so I'd just set an alert up.

Also the earliest 5 day camping has gone by like 2 months.

GNR will play their usual 3 hour snorefest of a set and probably have some of the Dogtooth clashing with them and that’s its. Pathetic.

I think some of the Avalanche will clash with them too. Neck Deep clashed with them on it in 2018.

Quick side note, Drowning Pool being second on Opus is crazy surely they are one of the biggest what ifs in metal history

Always said if Dave Williams never died they'd at least be as big as Disturbed by now. Also off topic, I love Jesse but if Howard never left Killswitch Engage I think they'd be headliners by now.

Anyone else think many bands seem really low down?

I know you're gonna get that on a bigger year but:

  • Creeper playing mid-afternoon second stage after playing main in 2024 and headlining 4th in 2023
  • Mammoth going from opening main to buried on 2nd stage
  • Those Damn Crows also buried on 2nd stage
  • Pendulum 4th down main

Yeah, that’s something that jumped out to me on first glance. Lots of bands that seems much lower than expected.

I have a 'feeling' they'll go back on sale after the PayPal Exclusive window for day tickets....

It's just a personal hunch though, I've not seen or heard anything to suggest this is the case, other than the lack of any 'selling fast' warnings, or boasty announcements about selling out for the first time ever....

Anyway... Creeper and Hot Milk being added is a win for me... Just a shame that Creeper clash with Pendulum.

Also worth noting that on the actual ticketmaster site they do not show as sold out, just 'currently unavailable, try again later' whereas other packages that have sold out, are listed as sold out.

Creeper 4th down secons isn't really mid afternoon. Pendulum is the crazy one but I'm guessing they've got them lower due to Pendulum on an intimate tour rather than a usual one which someone did point out a while ago in fairness.

When do they do the stage times. Hoping they allow some other stages to run over the main as I'd prefer to skip over Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park by going to see something else. Guess that's unlikely.

Ah yeah I only looked at the other one. I do think as well, Drowning Pool may be a bit lost on that second stage, even that early it's a big stage for them. Hammersmith Apollo was just right.

I think they’ll be alright on there. Everyone will turn up to hear their one song. They did say they were playing the album that’s from in full so I would expect them to get more than a 30 min slot.

Here’s hoping Architects run same time as GnR then so I have someone to watch! If not All American Rejects it is!!

Also I am stunned they didn’t send out a running low notice on 5 day ticket sales. I am still guessing they will release some more and say “Final Release” or something.

Sinner is a fantastic album so I hope that's true

Bit unfair saying they only have one song when Tear Away and Sermon exist

Sunday is horrific for clashes for me; basically the only day where there’s stuff I want to watch on every stage at around the same time (seemingly).

Going off of the clashfinder, this is what I’m looking at (the acts in bold are the ones I would actually be 100% set on seeing):

P.O.D. > Paleface Swiss > DRAIN or Nasty > Electric Callboy > Cypress Hill > Limp Bizkit > Cavalera (realistically I’ll probably end up staying with everyone for Bizkit)

Thornhill (will I actually be up and about for this time? Doubtful) > Drowning Pool > LANDMVRKS > Conjurer > Babymetal > Trivium > Architects or Decapitated (realistically Architects because my group will want to see them and cba losing everyone) > Blood Incantation > Guns N Roses (back end of the set to catch November Rain & Paradise City)

unpeople (see Thornhill) > Kublai Khan TX > thrown > Dinosaur Pile-Up > Bad Omens > A Day To Remember (maybe for a bit unless I really want to go home)

I would want to see Mastodon, letlive., Spineshank, Gatecreeper and Boundaries all on Sunday too but likely won’t be able to because I really want to see Bad Omens in that big slot.

Hi, Download first-timer thinking of getting a Friday day ticket.

Considering getting a hotel for Thursday & Friday night. Quite cheap options in Notts or Leicester. How easy is it to get to/from the site from those locations?

Notts would be much easier than Leicester... But Derby is the best bet...

Sorry, that was blunt... To elaborate, all of them have Skylink buses that get you there, but Derby and Nottingham is a much shorter ride. Derby also has a dedicated shuttle from the train station.

Thank you. Will have a look around, the ones I found closer to site/in Derby were (understandably) double the price.

You're welcome, I edited my post after you quoted it with some hopefully more useful info. 🙂

I can see them adding like a 1000 more in a few weeks with a warning like Bloodstock have been doing. We've created extra space type stuff to create some buzz for them, but taking them off at a time like this seems like lunacy to me.

Kam has posted they have sold out 5 days on his Instagram, but they haven't sold out as they still have 3 days, arena only and day tickets to sell.

I think sales of UK festivals will always be stronger in Glastonbury fallow year, especially in the post-COVID era, so not surprised Download have shifted more/faster than usual. But Twickets will come to the rescue closer in.

Haa nothing to do with Glastonbury, totally different festivals
