Self Esteem

First album was ace. All Yeezys style beats and withering lyrics. Second album spoilt by that Luhrmann pastiche for me.

She made fun of me on X/Twitter, when I made the Luhrman observation.  I think it's an incredible song, to be fair.

For me her first album's decent, second is brilliant. Wouldn't let one song spoil it. And agree her new one sounds pretty great.

No glasto ticket here sadly but I'll be doing my utmost to see her somewhere this year. Amazing live performer, if you even vaguely like her music do yourself a favour and get to one of her gigs.

Love Self Esteem. Always amazing live, the new single seems a bit meh compared to Prioritise Pleasure but I’m sure there’ll be plenty to like about her new album.  Would be great if she was on the pyramid this year.

Big fan, saw her in Cabaret as well which was also bloody excellent. Fourth down pyramid, all day long.

Third at least. I could see her one below a headliner on either stage, unless she has her eye on a particular slot. Could headline Park or Woodsie or that Lizzo slot on West Holts. She could fit almost anywhere.

We went to see her in Cabaret, and she was great.

Ready for some new material though, Prioritise Pleasure is a 10 for me, so listened to it to death.

Big fan of her and seen her plenty.

Wasn’t there talk of her being unlikely to be actively touring a normal show until July or later? One of gang is tied up on Dua Lipa’s tour.

Unsure about the theatre show of what incarnation of a touring show it’ll be.

She's headlining End of the Road in Sept, so im guessing that'll be a 'touring'show rather than the theatrical stuff

Was lucky enough to see her West End show last week, which was kind of a theatrical presentation of her new album (amongst the hits). Genuinely one of the best things I've ever seen. The new album sounded excellent too...

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
