If its stadiums, I don't think their team will let them do Glastonbury headline and stadiums gor their fiest go at it.

I think they will, personally.

Nothing has to be announced for Glastonbury until stadium tickets have been on sale for a long time.

I'm going with Olivia Dean / Harry Styles / Oasis for now, but could defo see Fontaines D.C. or RAYE getting the call. Saw RAYE's tour the other night and it was good tbf, and the new songs from the upcoming album sounded great live; not sure if I'd personally see her or not, but think it'd probably go down fairly well.

Think Harry Styles and Olivia Dean are the 2 most obvious choices going.  Add in the big guitar band then it’ll be fine

Lewis Capaldi doing a shed load this year surely in contention ?

One of the worst possible choices, even Oasis would be preferable and that’s really going low

I’m looking forward to seeing him in June … different strokes for different folks … just hope his voice holds out and oasis would be an all timer for attendance in the pyramid arena id say not far short of Elton .

Trnsmt that bad?

I last went in 2022 and felt way too old then in my mid-20s. The lineups are also dreadful now.

I've been a few times tbf for AM, Strokes etc and would probs go if fontaines headlined but I couldn't face it for them subbing last year

Doubt it, he's played 2 of the last 3 fests and despite being popular I think he has dropped off a wee bit. Any new album he had would have to be massive and even then i doubt he'd be top of the list

He played the remainder of the gig he was unable to finish so think slightly different circumstances to the norm . Not sure on second bit either as he’s absolutely everywhere this coming summer

Obviously I have no doubts Olivia Dean has reached the level to headline and no doubt she will -  I just cant see it for next year. I think it will be 28 or even later.   She played the Pyramid in 24 and did a secret set in 25  -  Kind of just dont see her doing 3 Glastonbury's in a row.

It’s an extremely strange and concerning world

Hahah. - Kind of get you -  Ive only ever seen 4 Pyramid Headliners myself - in 8 fests and probably could have happily left 2 of them halfway though -   I find it really hard to see the Pyramid Headliners -  as there is always something better on elswhere.

Cream does not always rise to the top in the music industry thats for sure.

Stadiums onsale first for August or July

Then glasto announced

If stadiums struggling, glasto will help sell them off the back of it

Its not that big of a deal, doubt their team will stop them

Agreed.

They also didn't say no to the sub slot in 2025 for no reason, they clearly have their sights set on headlining Glastonbury.

They specifically requested Park headline in 2024, and didn't want to return the year after. It's when, not if, and, on the current trajectory - 2027 does make sense. Whether it happens remains to be seen.

She also did Strummerville and Lonely Hearts Club in 2023! So it would be 4 in a row, which I think pretty well rules her out of 2027 and straight in for 2028. She clearly loves the festival and is absolutely that level so she’s a tap-in at that point

Ahh missed that -  but yeah reinforces what i was already thinking -  Recon she will be a headliner in 2028

I'm already excited by oasis potentially headlining, but only cos i wont see a single second of them and i really fancy a wander around seeing whats happening at the other stages while its quiet - my pal did exactly that during Elton John a couple of years back and he took some amazing pics of the crowds being so close to the stages

That's actually a really good shout though, for me, it would have to coincide with all headliners across the stages not appealing, not just Pyramid. That rarely happens.

There was one year it did, I'd have to go back through the archives to double check which, and I used it to check out the South East corner at night with practically no crowds. That was fun.

I think its closer to the other angle of not happening. It will happen eventually and I'd be fine with it but next year is juat a bit overkill.

Yeah this rules her out of it for me.

I think there's only Taylor Swift that would draw a bigger pyramid crowd.

Defo, pretty well-rounded trio in my eyes if it *is* that.

I’d like to think Gaga could do it, but I may be overestimating the Pyramid faithfuls

Said it before, but Taylor wouldn't draw a site-emptying crowd.

It'd be a big one, obviously, but more comparable to a typical Coldplay crowd than what we saw with Elton or what Oasis would get. Simply put - while she does have a huge fanbase and would also attract plenty of neutrals, there's also a fairly sizable number of people who actively dislike her and would make a point of being elsewhere. That would easily be enough to ensure that her crowd didn't get into the all time biggest conversation.

    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
