I saw that someone at the gig on Friday that Matt said see you in November?
? O2 area 9-11 Nov?

Speech at the end of the gig was indeed Mr. Bellamy saying they'll be in the UK in November. Nothing announced as of yet but I'd assume something in the next month or so.

I like the new song they gave a debut too last night so could be persuadable to popping along for this new round of dates. Not sure I'm as interested in going to the O2 again though as seen them there a lot and indeed go there for gigs a lot. See what else pops up.

Still not convinced they're doing Glastonbury '27 though.

How much were the tickets for this one last night? Did briefly flirt with the idea, but ended up back in a hotel room doing some work.

Away in November, but would be shocked if there's not bigger shows next summer to follow.

£145. There were some £56 tickets for the rear standing, so they could put a price range in, but everything else was £145.

There's a lot of arguments on their Reddit about whether it was worth that price. Most who were there said they still had a brilliant time and that's fair enough, plus tbf it sounded quite good and punchy from an Instagram livestream somebody did. So there's that. But I did think they played it a bit safe with the set and think that in that room, you probably could've thrown the hardcore gang a bone with some properly unexpected. Like something that's way more of a deep cut than New Born or Map of the Problematique, which were regulars when I first started seeing Muse gigs back in 2009 (and were still semi-regular in 2015).

I refuse to pay more £100 so that was not exactly conductive to me booking this one. I would've been fine paying the rear standing fee but I can't imagine those tickets were there for long and I've not heard great things about that section of Brixton Academy. Admittedly I was also not available yesterday anyway due to being busy, so... whatever.

I was there, seeing them for the 9th time. Seated near the back, but still had a good view of the three of them and sound was decent. Muse live are great whatever they play, and the new song was brilliant. I am slightly dissapointed with how short the setlist was (16 songs excluding interludes/tracks) and how we didn't get a deep cut or two. The encore was a joke given this is the best chance to play a deep cut and they did Isolated System > Undisclosed Desires > Starlight. But I'm still very glad i went.

Very good. Glad you enjoyed it.

I'm happy Cryogen is getting good reviews. It sounded pretty good even on the Instagram stream I stumbled across last night, let alone more clear recordings that popped up this morning. And given I like Unravelling, it makes me more positive for the new album and interested in seeing the upcoming tour. I'd heard great reviews of Manchester Co-Op so could be interested in going there as I'm not feeling London O2 as I've seen Muse there a lot in the past.

They did that Isolated System dance remix - UD - Prelude - Starlight encore last year at European festivals last year and I agree that it's a bit of a weird choice. Push Uprising into UD's slot and stick something more unexpected in the main set and that would be more positive.

I was there too, I agree encore was weak - strange one of the most talented musicians around didn't even pick up a guitar in the whole encore

Undoubtedly a huge pipe dream but the Strokes have just confirmed a new album for this summer. Are they still realistically headline level for the Pyramid? Or will they do their usual big outdoor shows next summer like APE?

Came here to post this.

I absolutely love them but I think they're too driven by money to play Glastonbury, unfortunately, regardless of which slot.

I just want a regular arena show at this point, the only recent one I recall is 2020 and I was away, ffs.

I think they pulled out of the Pilton Party in a semi dodgy fashion in there first (and best spell) which may well have them on the festival  black list, circa RHCP.   That being said I'm sure Albert Hammond Jr and the Voids have both played since... so not sure

I also agree perhaps the days of them being a headliner are behind them

Those first 3 albums are still something special though

I can't remember whether or not they sold out APE the two times they've done it, but on both occasions I remember there being dozens of leftovers on Twickets in the days leading up to the event, some for quite cheap. I think they'd have to headline Other/sub Pyramid these days, which I don't think they'd take. They're subbing Coachella, but they get paid a bucket load for that

I've only seen them live once which was the co-headline Leeds festival. During the first comeback

They were on before Pulp at Leeds and that was probably fine I think they were better suited in the sub headline as it would have been anti climatic the other way round....  which I how how Reading got it.

I was at APE 2019 and it was f**king rammed. So they do at least draw a crowd. I believe they sold more that time than in 2023, although someone with better knowledge of this stuff than me can confirm.

I think in theory they could be open to Pyramid subbing, but I suspect they'd want a lot of moolah to make that happen.

I've always heard that with the strokes, the money has to be right.

I saw them at Lytham in 2022. 75 mins set and the crowd were annoyed they didn't play last nite. They were good, but not playing their biggest song is such an own goal.

I genuinely didn't know who Anyma are/were when I saw this ngl. I thought it was the name of a new venue somewhere in Greece or Turkey.

Still, good for them to get the work.
