Oh don't get me wrong I think 'on paper' she is 'too big' to sub.

I just wouldn't be surprised if she still agreed to play that slot if post fallow Emily has eyes on one of those Saturday night 'mega star' bookings

We have just seen Chappell Roan somehow agree to sub-headline Reading Festival

She very clearly co-headlined Reading. The dual set length time is very clear and the only way that set length isn't part of a co-headliner is if the band playing after has significantly longer.

Oliva Dean has 2 good albums. Chapel Roan has more quality material from her one album than OD has across two. There are many metrics to consider as others have mentioned and you're right, you can't ignore 6 nights at the O2 but I just don't see her as next in line to headline. She's more 'x-factor' and exposure.

I certainly don't think she's too big to Sub either.

Definitely, I dont think she's as good as others but if she was at Mad Cool I'd be lapping it up.

Sabrina Carpenter will produce and star in an Alice In Wonderland Musical -   No idea if this has any bearing on her headlining or not - as no indication at this point when it will be filming best i could get is that its in early development at this point.

*this is from the AI overview -

Due to Carpenter's busy music schedule (she is set to headline Coachella in 2026), filming is not expected to start before mid-2026, making a release unlikely before 2027.

If Oasis take 2026 off - as could be the case - then I could buy 2027. Certainly, if they toured but didn't play, it would rival the festival for column inches and social media warbling.

If they take 1 year off they are taking at least 5 more i think

Interesting. I do wonder how long they may go - imagine Noel will want to get back to his own material at some juncture, but maybe it is a case of balancing the two facets around a calendar. Liam seems keen to just keep on going and going and going and -

Fair comment … obviously not everyone Emily sees and posts about will headline I guess . But do wonder how many do or make an appearance somewhere at least

Current rumours are that they're not doing much as a band next year - Nick Cave has requisitioned Colin for the Bad Seeds for the entirety of the summer season. Some rumours of a Thom solo tour in the US next year too.

But even if this is a farewell tour they'll surely go to USA. So 2027 would potentially put them in the frame for the summer festival season...
