Did the shop have the competition advertised?

Nope just assumed as we had scanned our separate co-op cards we would be entered ? Had trouble finding the cans. Only had a few four packs in and stashed away on the shelf next to Boddingtons which have the same colour scheme.

Same as me, there were 12 packs everywhere then I found a few 4 packs on a shelf away from the rest of the alcohol.

These coop competitions are a bloody pain , wish theyd make them easier was the same with the cheese trying to find a store that stocked it

I found the Brooklyn lager easy enough but there was no mention of the competition.

Worse case its £4.75 on a cheap four pack of lager !

Just had a look and you can buy one on Vinted for £10. I have tickets but I’d definitely be doing that if I didn’t as how many people are realistically entering this

I did exactly this earlier. Found 3 which totalled around £35. Has to be worth the risk.

Although does anyone know if it’s limited to 1 “jacket entry” per person?

"11. Alternatively, entrants may submit a postal entry (ordinary first or second class post). Postal entries must submitted as a letter addressed to ‘Oxfam/Barbour/Glastonbury Prize Draw, Mill Forest Way, Grange Rd, Batley WF17 6RA’, containing the entrants full name, address, and email address. Postal entrants are not required to donate a Barbour Wax Jacket to enter the prize draw."

Adding to this, I just clocked this whilst trying to find an answer to the question on my post above…

12. Entries to this prize draw are weighted. Entering by donating a Barbour Wax Jacket is worth 10 entries. Postal entries are worth 1 entry. A maximum of 10 postal entries per person is permitted. Any postal entries above this number will not be included in the draw. Each postal entry must be submitted in a separate outer envelope with the correct postage stamp.

so you could just send 10 postal votes in?

I've also entered the Co-Op / Brooklyn Pilsner competition. My local didn't have any promotional material on the shelf - but its not a very good / organised store, so not a huge surprise...

Worst case is that I'll be at Glastonbury anyway (working), and have got myself in a few cans ahead of a gig tomorrow night after work

Do you think they would take a very old 40 year old mouldy genuine Barbour jacket that my dad used to wear fishing but has been hanging in my loft for over 20 years? My friends are desperate for tickets and I thought I’d give it to them to enter! Not sure there is any wax left on it so certainly could do with a re-wax!! Or does that not count as “pre-loved” ?

I think that's the exact definition of what they'd want?

Go on the coop website, search products for the worthy view cheese and enter your postcode. It lists the local coops where it’s stocked.

Just bought a 4 pack myself. Nothing showing in the shop about it, nothing on the cans, and hoping just scanning my coop card/app at the till when buying them is enough to enter the competition! 🙂

I've emailed co-op about it and they said they are 'investigating' why there was no mention of it in any of the stores or mention of it on receipts.

good luck @DareToDibble have yours arrived yet .... this competition is surely going to have under 50 entries so good odds id say

How would it have under 50 entries crazy?  I'm (almost) sure that it was on a competition website a week or so ago. Even I have an entry, in the (possibly) vain hope that fate will take me back there.

Probably way off tbh yog … just that’s it’s a bit more of a challenging one to enter so will put off all but the keenest … that said it is Glastonbury tickets so that may well change things

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
