Could there feasibly be a situation where Shangri-La drop them from their lineup, but West Holts keep them on theirs (or vice versa)?

If Shangri La drop them, they’ll be making a mockery of themselves and putting into question whether the area has any meaning or is just for show

I’m wondering why it’s acceptable to support Israel, but not Hamas/Hezbollah? Is it because the latter are arabic, and obviously arabic people with guns = evil terrorist bad guys (/sarcasm)

Politics aside it's mental that they're playing an announced set on Shangri La in the first place, unless this new stage and setup is huge and vastly better organised. They're far too big

Bit weird. No acts at Glastonbury are doing that, are they? I wouldn't want an act to lead chants supporting Netanyahu/Ben Gvir/the IDF either. Supporting violent extremists isn't great, whatever side they're on.

I suppose those looking to ban acts who say things they don’t like would have looked to get the Sex Pistols banned back in the day. If you don’t like a band don’t go see them. Bands often say stupid things on stage and during a performance.
 

But let’s all not forget how the MP stuff came to light following their Coachella performance. And that the MPs yelling about Kneecap are openly supporting a genocide and breaking international law.

As I mentioned previously, it’s the coordinated manner of this campaign that I find quite disturbing.

 

The MP clip has surfaced from a gig in 2023 (and let’s not forget Kneecap have played Glasto since then).

 

The two MPs that I’ve seen so far who are pushing for their removal (and criminal investigations) are David Taylor and Ben Obese-Jecty.

 

A simple google search shows Ben recently received donations from “Conservative Friends of Israel Ltd” while David has received donations from Gary Lubner, a pro-Israel South African businessman.

 

As I’ve said, the lads shouldn’t have said what they said but let’s not be gaslit into not seeing what’s actually happening here.

ok...but at same time they said what they said....so people can get all conspiracy theory about it all...but it's what they said that matters.

Personally I am not bothered...it's protest music and what Israel are doing is intolerable and it is understandable that people are angry....but at same time there will be Jewish people at the festival who might be made to feel unsafe with all this, that they might have to avoid that area whilst they're playing, and for that reason I can see they getting pulled.
