It’s a fairly small site, it’s easy to get around.

I think even from the furthest away car parking, it’s probably no more than a 15 minute walk…depending on what you’re carrying / how quick you walk etc!

Thanks! Planning on getting my camping gear in with 4 tinnies on run 1 and then emptying my bag for the rest of the tinnies for the evening, soft drinks for the morning and food. Being aiming for getting that between 5/6 and getting to see yard act. All up in the aIr though with bank holiday traffic.

Hi all, v quick question.

Arriving Wednesday by car, does it make any difference whether arriving from north or south which car park end up on or do they just fill the main one first on Wednesday?

Thanks

same question here - we're in circular camping so want to be parked next to there if possible

Barring a weather disaster like last year (which currently doesn't seem on the cards), I'd be very surprised if they even open more than one field on the Wednesday.

There is just the one pedestrian entrance from the car parks so wherever you park you will go through that and into the camping areas.

I think I read that Circular Camping is in the Catton/Gibbs area which isn't as you first go in but as others have said- nothing is very far.

In my opinion, to simplify it and to try and make it as easy as possible for those coming in larger vehicles, campervans, vans and caravans etc, I would suggest the following -

Do allow extra time and distance for a detour and get yourself to either Burton or Tamworth depending on approximately where you are travelling from.

Hey Paul, do you know what the steward plans for campervans are if they turn up at the site a bit before 9am? Do they turn vehicles around and send them away or do they just let them queue on the road?

The Nest (Circular Camping) has moved from Gibbs, follow the signs.

If the gates are not open, you'll be sent away. They cant queue on the roads!

Cheers. I guess we’ll hang fire in Tamworth if we get there a bit early.

Slight drizzle on site this evening thankfully, takes the dust out and softens the grass for your tent pegs!

NFRNFC!

It has been known for the gates to open a little earlier than planned, but thats dependent on a lot of things happening.

Naw the rain was needed, was way too dusty and horrid to move around in, now it's stopped its much better... the ground is still solid.
