Also have they run the 'Gin competition' at previous editions? 'm intrigued by it.

Is it a tasting session where you try gins and rate them? Is it a competitive eating esque gin drinking contest? Is it a competition where punter bring their own gin?

From what I understand, there's a theme (not sure what it is though) and competitors make a bottle of gin to that theme.  Then the gin gets tasted by other competitors and rated,  Best gin wins

Does anyone have any Thursday recs? At the moment I only have Midnight Rodeo, Molotov Jukebox, Fat Dog and probably Chris Hawkins DJ set.

I'm only arriving around 7pm Thursday, but am delighted that I'll see Molotov Jukebox, Headsticks and English Teacher.

Have seen English Teacher before and really liked them.

From what I've heard of the other 2, really looking forward to them.

CLTDRP for some noisy electro-punk, probably clash with Meffs (punk duo) who are good live.

Adwaith also.sound interesting.

Castle Rat should be a laugh, describe themselves as Medieval Fantasy Metal. It may wear pretty thin rather quickly but I'll give them a look.

I was hoping to watch CLTDRP and Meffs,

clashfinder suggests this will be doable so really hope that’s the case.

Where do you buy the programmes from? Is it obvious on arrival?

There's often been a small stall on arrival or you can get them from the merch stand.

As already stated the clashfinder is based on previous years, inside info etc and isn't always accurate, so yeah buy a programme to get the official times.

Merch tent will have them and they should also be sold at wristband exchange and some people float about with them too.

This is the current forecast from accuweather, a possibility of ONE shower between now and next Saturday. Anyone who is disappointed with this for the first festival of the year really needs to manage their expectations better! It's a brilliant result, no rain to speak of for weeks so the ground will be totally dry, perfect on Wednesday/Thursday to get set up and a great weekend in prospect, might get a bit chilly at night so bring appropriate gear. It's gonna be a classic!

Looks good, but yesterday morning, AccuWeather was saying rain all weekend, hence why there's no point in getting upset (or excited) until much nearer the time. I'm not sure how they can call themselves Accu Weather given how often it changes...I guess they could say they got it right at one point! (but BBC was the same)

"rain all weekend" or showers over the weekend, there's a difference, there will probably be some rain at some point, typical weather for this time of year but it's not going to be a mudbath or anything like it.

Met Office has,

Long range forecast

Tuesday 20 May - Thursday 29 May

Most of the UK will be fine with sunny spells during the first part of this period. A few showers are possible in the south at first but otherwise the majority of places will be dry. Temperatures are likely to be above normal for the time of year. Into the bank holiday weekend and following week, a change in weather type is expected. More unsettled conditions are likely to develop, with weather systems moving in from the Atlantic. This will bring spells of rain to many areas, perhaps heavy at times, with a risk of strong winds in places. Some drier and brighter intervals are likely between systems. Temperatures will probably be near normal or slightly above.

That's a good forecast, the further out the less accurate so it's perfectly possible it will be dry for the vast majority of the time we are there. I'm still confident it's going to be great.

Ah but yesterday it was obviously too far in advance to be accurate whereas today is absolutely, 100% right, no question about it.  🤣

Not for me - my whole point was exactly that these apps are so variable and so can't be trusted.

I'll believe what the weather is going to be when I'm sat in the sun / stood in the rain and I'll wait until Thursday lunchtime to decide how much warm / waterproof clothes I pack!

I was joking that if it's bad I'm not going to believe it but if it's good I will!  But obviously waterproofs and warm clothes will be packed regardless.

Depends what you mean by heavy, but I'll be making an effort to see Castle Rat on Thursday, look to be a blast.

There’s a few noisy bands of various kinds. No idea on your taste but this could narrow it down, nothing quite like Green Lung

Nova Twins

Alt Blk Era

Raised by owls

slay duggee

The None (not on Spotify but some stuff on you tube/ their website)

CLT DRP
