Thought this current Israel/Gaza thing would end up f**king Labour.

Is it really f**king them? An MP nobody has heard of has been caught, he has been suspended. I have zero sympathy with any labour MP over these issues, they know it’s an incredibly sensitive issue for labour, if they are stupid enough to get caught on camera or audio then that’s on them.

only that they're starting to fling mud at each other, and Labour infighting so often a problem.

Couple of by-election wins later this week would help.

The Tories will fling mud at each other soon enough. I don't think this stuff matters much. "Same old Labour" and "Same old Tories" views will stay static.

Labour aren’t really infighting anyway, it’s just a few loons on the fringes that being stupid. It’s not really gonna change anything.

think it goes deeper than a few loons, but so far most just tow the line because they actually have a good chance of getting into power and don't want to f**k it. I would expect as soon as polls narrow or they face problems when in government it will all come to the forefront.

another labour drop....green investment uturn?

Probably just noise, if it was the green announcement then the Tories wouldn’t really be going up especially when other polls show the complete opposite.

I thought I read somewhere that Labour need a 12% swing to simply get a majority. Unless I'm misunderstanding, an 11% swing in the polls just won't cut it?

well...some people did expect the polls to narrow as what Labour are offering comes into focus...and with the green investment uturn maybe people are thinking they're not offering that much that is different. Have to see what is in manifesto, but if Labour are going to make it super cautious bombproof because they're scared of Tory attacks then that might actually work against them if cost of leaving starts to ease and Labour start fighting amongst themselves over left/right stuff and Israel.

Still think Labour will win, but maybe a smallish majority or a hung parliament.

Or another poll will come out in a day or two with a 40 point lead for Labour.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
