Nah.

Very small impact. The The UK’s bigger oil and import relationships are with Norway and the US anyway.

And we are talking way less than 1% to total tax takes.

 

We have been a climate leader. The climate needs leadership. No need to undermine ourselves for sod all benefit.

I agree and anyone saying he couldn’t communicate with the ordinary person is likely being influenced by their own views. Interestingly I know someone who husband worked in one of those factories the PMs all seem to visit. She said Blair , Cameron and BoJo had the workers in the palm of their hands, Brown and May not so much!

What rumours? Based on what evidence? Can't see any indication of this anywhere, closest thing is the suggestion it's likely to go to a second count as no candidate's on track to get 50% of the vote. But that's not hugely surprising, and Labour are still confident.

So in a panic looking everywhere for a more optimistic take and people seem to think a 2nd count is likely and that Bev Craig wins that...but we'll see.

Looks like manchester election turnout is really low, pathetic really...people moan and moan and then can't be arsed to vote. Bring in compulsory voting I say (along with some sort of PR).

Doesn't surprise me. West Yorkshire had a vote if they wanted a mayor in 2012 and voted no. The government then ignored the vote and announced the position anyway in 2016.

Well the point seems to be 22.7% turn out doesn't suggest the majority are rushing out to support the mayoral system.
