Architects were so dull a few years ago subbing, just hope the new material (which has been a bit better) makes their set a bit more enjoyable this time, it does make sense.

Just thinking of that secret set, would Knocked Loose work? Obviously Outbreak on the Friday in London but if they did the Saturday in Manchester they'd be free on the Sunday potentially?

Wednesday is traditionally a returning band. Can’t see Gallows with Frank being that. They would be the big sell of the whole weekend if they were to reform.

Personally, I think they would play a night or two (probably two) at Brixton if they reformed.

Forever hoping for that reunion.
Tbf Frank will likely need to clear his diary of all the Sex Pistols stuff first.

But with the end of Rattlesnakes it’s got to be coming? Right?! 🙃

It would be a last minute booking rather than the main plan, I would guess. FIR are subbing or headlining festivals in Europe, and since Ronald can’t get into the uk and screwed up that plan, download probably have just done what they’ve needed to.

Is still says quite a lot about a festival that holds itself at the level of what Download does that they literally wouldn't be able to find another sub option other than another 2 years ago repeat. They've already got B4MV subbing who shouldn't be. I think Weezer are only doing it out of rarity and the festival selling less tickets now.

I mean, maybe…but I also wonder how long they’ve held out for to see if Ronnie Radke got cleared to get into the uk. I don’t know if he could’ve reapplied or not but regardless, let’s see what tomorrow brings. Maybe they’ll spring a surprise on us.

Little bit of fun before the 4pm announcement, tried to squeeze in all of the bands from the top few sections of the first announcement into the line-up template (there will be some wildly out of place ones) with a few extras that I'm predicting/hoping for (Rise Against, Architects, Yellowcard, Frank Turner)

Edit: I've already noticed Cradle of Filth in there twice haha

I know you have done this for fun but you have put cradle of filth twice really close in time on the same day

Steel Panther and The Darkness would definitely be the opposite way, no way I see The Darkness headlining second in 2025 without it being a replacement booking. Rise Against as much as 4th down main Friday would be great, it's juts not likely but it's for fun.

The Friday naturally stands out like a daw thumb compared to the rest. They'll need to book a lot more of Friday kind of acts to get interest crossover interest to invest. I expect Meshuggah to be 4th main and Rise Against and Jinjer to be second subs or the latter two will just be doing the exact same as last time. Saturday is definitely a no.

Currently I'm thinking of looking for somewhere locally to park so it's a hella cheaper and making the walk in/short taxi ride

I know I noticed it straight after I posted it but I'd already closed the poster maker by then 😂

Yeah I forgot they already did that a few years ago the other way round!

Got to be honest I've not listened to a fair few of the bands on there so was pure guesswork 😂

Technically he wouldn’t be allowed in until October 2027 as that’s 15 years after his last conviction.
So unless they waiver it due to the law changing post him getting his visa the UK ain’t seeing FIR anytime soon.

Cheers for that information. Much appreciated.

Nor will a lot of the Download crowd because a lot won't be what they want lol. I can't imagine SP or The Darkness being booked in 2025, let alone headline second and sub being a Download regular goers idea of great lol.

I'm sure that you know there's regular Skylink buses from Derby, but I know where there's loads of free street parking along the Skylink bus route if it helps?

I'm only doing the Friday, I think, but my daughter and her friends are doing their first solo full weekender.

Inbox me? I looked for parking in a hotel nearby but it took me to another car park. 4pm needs to be really solid to consider a weekend ticket and having seen bullet recently, the top 3 on both Saturday and Sunday aren't likely to be of interest.

I've also started training again so the chances are I won't be drinking much anyway. A couple of pints and that's it

That screams of "surely there's at least one band happy to play under Sleep Token?!"

It's not a good lineup to be honest. Rise Against under Pistols or 4th down against under Don Broco and looks like Opeth under WT. I'm surprised Jinjer isn't a logo band now.

If somehow Rise Against are playing Sunday, it's a day ticket without doubt but won't even touch the others.

I think the day announcement has been delayed because it'll show how bad it is.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
