Looking at clash finder this year is a reminder of why I've decided against doing Download. In particular I think the treatment of bands on the the 4th (dogtooth) stage is so poor. Short set times and ridiculous clashes. Svalbard and VOLA clashing with Opeth for example.... literally the same fanbase! Unprocessed clashing with Spiritbox another example.... I just don't get why the organisers do this. Even away from that stage.... Municipal Waste clashing with Jinjer? Why do they clash so many bands with similar fanbase? 

 

Other fest's just seem to manage it so much better.

So a bit of confusion here, one bus days it is £15 return from East Mids Parkway to Download and then another shuttle days £4 for single journeys?

Anyone got any tips for finding cheap tickets to this? I'm checking all the usual resale sites and nothing seems to be dipping below the 200 mark. I haven't done a weekend at Download before so feel like I must be missing a trick!

Cheapest I got was on Twickets at the start of April at £222, don’t think there’s any weekend tickets going for anything lower than that unless they’re child tickets

Yep definitely seems much harder to find cheapies this year. A mate of mine said he's managed to go for under 200 for the last couple of years but may need to cut my losses!

Cattle Decapitation have cancelled their European tour so are off the lineup. They have, however, been replaced with Ingested which is a great booking in itself.

People aren't letting tickets go as cheap as they were because everyone is jumping on the bandwagon of waiting for it rather than buying in. People don't want to lose too soon. I'm still on the lookout for a cheaper Saturday ticket if I can grab one but if not the Friday will be fine. You're not really much, if I lived closer I would definitely attend each day and go home instead of camping. I had a good camping banter time but because they only allow you in on Friday or tickets from Wednesdays, that Thursday to have the extra setup day kinda goes

I've managed to bag some now - only issue is 2 of our party have camping plus, and 2 have general camping. I'm guessing you're still allowed in general camping with a camping plus wristband?

You shouldn't really but Camping Plus would just be an extra wristband they'd collect at the Plus entrance so they'll be fine to just be in General with you. Leaves more room for me in Plus so all for it! 😄

What's the atmosphere like in Camping Plus? May end up staying there but we're pretty loud!

Not stayed in it before! Camped in green opposite it last year and just seemed like a regular campsite so should be fine!

Anyone know where the shuttle from derby station drops off? On the timetable it says transport hub but on the map the shuttle bus stop is by south entrance

Transport hub is up by the north car park. I understood the shuttle bus to be between the campervan field and District X.

They’re playing Nova Rock on the Friday and Rock For People on the Saturday so I’d say very unlikely.

20 mins with no/low foot traffic, 30ish on the way back after the headliners
