Currently as cheap as £63 on ticketmaster resale, mad price for Green Day and Weezer.

To be honest Green Day and JEW are the one's for me but clearly not a lot of the Download crowd.

The forecast which said thunderstorms, which I'd imagine prompted the majority of that, now says light rain showers for a couple of hours

I don't think it's that, it's Download, it's known to be unpredictable weather, it's also known that Download don't do much to cater for that. But Friday tickets have been available for weeks now, I picked up mine for party 3 or so weeks ago. Not as cheap as the above but I wouldn't have waited this long. That's an absolute bargain.

How do you see for resale, I only get the option to buy general tickets for Friday?

I only saw these too.

If you log into ticketmaster, click find tickets on the Friday and scroll down there should be resale tickets

Yeah i couldn't see it either but that's the best value day ticket ever in the history of Download I think, and yet is what is proving why it's taken so long book them and why they weren't the best idea for the festival as a whole. I've come across a few people that are going that have more interest in other bands that what's on Friday, including say I don't mind Green Day but ill see what else is on. For the Download crowd, including some on here Friday doesn't do it for many, put it elsewhere and it'll sell out easily.

PLEASE BE AWARE!

This is for child resale which is the same price. The adult resale is £130 which is virtually the same price too.

I looked at it too as thought I might be able to offload my current one and get in even cheaper easily then noticed that. Very easy to miss if people are in a panic buying. Luckily I was just taking an interest.

Also, just to confirm I presume the shuttle routine for east mids parkway is, parkup and pay, jump on a shuttle to the festival and pay your £15 return? Cheaper than day parking.

Vengaboys is the busiest I've ever seen the Doghouse, think Busted on the Avalanche but increase the scale

I thought it would be, by contrast someone on the download forum said yesterday afternoon the campsites were as quiet as he’d seen them at that time.

With everyone outside the tent it begs why they put them in there unnpsoed to anyone, not even the scratch for a set of festival goers that probably won't see them again, haven't seen them and are unlikely to attend too many of tbe cheesy throwback 90s do's.

Expectedly so. To be honest Downloads update yesterday after lunch that there was plenty of camping space still surprised me too. Some people's pictures were a bit oiek where is everyone that usually goes on Wednesday.

My mate has just got there and says the queues for bars and food are disgusting. Apparantly they’ve removed a big bar and replaced it with one for non alcoholic drinks - which is of course empty.

No excuse for this, it’s not like it’s their first rodeo.

The bar queues are bad, the water queues are really bad and not enough of them....and that's on quite comfortably a quite day at least today than 2023. Download though isn't it where thought process and organisation goes tits up. They couldn't mess up on the weather lol so something else. Entrance for car park south seemed better but im glad i was in the queue and the shuttle gets right lane priority. Parking at east mids was easy but the bus was late meaning the first band was touch and go and i left plenty of time.

Weather is great though and when they finally managed to scan my pass they put a weekend arena wristband on me instead of day wristband so that looks like me winging it through tomorrow

Very short Green Day set as good as it was. Then signs and directions out all over the place for transport hub. I knew where it is but you follow the big signs saying which led to south car park only and then got direct to accessible. A few had this issue. Again though how long have they been doing this?, just organise and music festival properly. Didn't even bother grabbing a drink in those queues and managed to refill water once.

Jimmy Eat Would were decent, Rise Against were good, better than last time I feel. Weezer were a bit dull and disappointing I thought. Dead Pony were okay, Unpeople OK but not really me. Riding the Low not what I expected. CKY were boring but alright to have a sit down.

Vengaboys at Download is a proper banter booking.

Or maybe there is something in the universal power of 90s/00s cheesy pop bangers.

How were the conditions? Seeing as articles were saying yesterday was the hottest day in the UK so far. Though I'm guessing the obstacle course for an exit and drink queues probably provided their own challenges.

The conditions were fine but the lack of water points is crazy. You've got people queueing for drinks when the top 4 bands are on....at £7.75 at pint at a guess....I didn't fully check is it worth it.

Great day of music however I agree, terrible organisation. Queues queues queues, staff not knowing what they were doing & nobody knew where anything was. About 400 toilets for 100k people is ridiculous. I saw 2 water points so possibly only 4-5 in the arena, pretty shocking really.

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
    • I was fully prepared (waterproof jacket, extra pair of socks, foldable umbrella), but after four hours in the rain (from Geese through Oklou to Florence Road), it was just too much. Already at the hotel, let's hope tomorrow's better.
    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
