2017 was unbelievably massive all around whereas Elton was doing a lot of the heavy lifting in 2023.

2011 still the most outrageous ‘how did they pull all of them together in one year’ bill in the fest’s history, tho. Regardless of the fact U2 were supposed to be there the year before.

Yes, but Beyonce was yet to reach cultural colossus levels there, I'd argue - it just looks spectacularly massive in hindsight.

Know they're not exactly at the cutting edge of the cultural conversation anymore, but AM reliably remain one of the biggest homegrown rock acts of their generation, and GNR are one of the biggest live acts of all time. Even if neither blew the night away in question, on paper, they were very strong, I'd argue.

So one headliner shared with Glastonbury, one headliner who looks like he needs a wash and would elicit a shrug from most people over here, and Gaga who has only released one album since she last did it. I’ll take our trio, thanks.

Gaga on her own knocks the sh*t out of our presumed trio

Eh. She'd probably still draw a crowd that wants to sing and dance the hits.

Of course but so will Fender and the ‘75. At best I’d say the two trios are about equal, with Liv being the biggest draw of each.

AC/DC apparently touring the US next year, think they’d be a good booking taking O Rod and 1975/Fender into account.

AC/DC are touring the US. They will not be at Glasto.

Isn't there chat AC/DC will have Axl in some shape or form with them? Now that is cats among pigeons.

Not chat, just an idiot reading an article from 2016 and reporting it as this year.

If the three most rumored acts for Coachella happen then they're top line with make our current expected look very poor.

Post Malone does not make anything look poor apart from the area in earshot

Olivia, Gaga and Post going by what I just saw. Not saying its correct but that would be big

if it holds its Fred, Post and maybe Gaga.

Olivia I am not confident about at all just because she is hitting the entire circuit this year and they like to have them be only on a handful of fests just so its more unique. But they had Eminem in 2018 and he did em all, so theres precedence.

Fred I am also kinda not  confident about because of that Glasto cancellation happening. Even though the trades had him booked solid 2 months ago and had mentioned Post Malone in the same article. Green Day another left field option, but theyre already announce for the rock fests and thats a big no no due to radius clauses. Theres gonna be plenty of randomness coming in the next few hours.

Ac Dc tour for the u.s is slated for Spring 2025 and its starting in May.

from a pure metrics standpoint Post has what you want anyway. How many acts have 8 diamond certified singles. That means your mum has heard a song or 2.

That 2017 was superb. Everyone singing whoa Jeremy corbyn in the theme of the white stripes at the pyramid stage. Insane. The weather was belting the first few days too..

2017 prob an underrated all timer for modern ones I figure. Yes, it had fantastic weather. Dont forget they filmed A Star is Born before Kris Kristofferson. Sure in hindsight I shouldve gone to see Foos cause of Taylor passing, but its hard to have regrets over a band youve seen in literal dive bars for $10.

I've heard a few people mention 1975, Olivia rodrigo, sam fender

Rod Stewart for legends

Yes unfortunately that is one of the most likely options with Fender being the weakest accuracy of them.

Fred, Gaga and Post is the second one I've heard.

The saddest performance I’ve seen at Glastonbury.  Had no idea what he was doing bless him

I was tripping balls on acid and mdma combo so I couldn't honestly tell you what it was like without any real grasp of what reality was.

Ed sheeran to be fair absolutely killed it, heard enough then had to go find something else
