Eminem anyone?

I suspect he will have laughed in their faces at the offer, given it was well into seven figures the last time he did Reading.

I know the offer was made. I'd be amazed if it actually happened.

@mufcok on that note, anymore news/intel you can give with who you think/heard the third headliner might be then? If you say ‘you’d be amazed if it actually happened’, surely Eminem is out?

The bit about me being amazed is purely personal opinion, knowing what he's been paid at other UK festivals. Strikes me as a similar sort of situation to Madonna - festival keen, but priced out. The only bit I know for sure is the offer part, rest is purely opinion.

To answer your question in a couple of ways:

I'd say two are up in the air. Fred Again (unless I've missed something) seems to be purely speculation without substance right now. And I include myself in that. I've been saying I think he'll headline since I left Worthy Farm in June but I've not heard a thing. Just personal opinion.

I've had two bits of information (separate to Rodrigo), neither of which involve Fred. If/when I'm confident enough - I'll share. Right now, I want more on them before I put my neck on the line.

Can I just clarify slightly - is that two bits of information about a single act, or about two separate acts?

Separate. I trust one slightly more than the other, but neither can I hang my hat on just now.

What I would say is it suggests, apart from Rodrigo, things are very much at offer/negotiation stage for one, possibly two, slots.

Blink once if one of the acts is Sam Fender.

There will be no blinking nor gender reveals today.

When I'm confident - you'll know 🙂

we’ll get back the never ending circular discussion then 😂

Purely from what the main bloke has said, I reckon Fred was a very early on who's pulled out due to album non reaction. Liv is likely and Fred is in negotiation after a very lose idea of Foos.

Sheeran, Olivia and Sam can't be ruled out. If you are getting to Sheeran again though just pop Biffy Clyro on there so they've done it. I know they won't but I don't think it would be badly received.

Who cares about him having a baby out of wedlock? As if every other artist on the bill lives up to a better standard of behavior.

Michael Eavis is a member of the Methodist church and has deep religious beliefs. These have probably been passed down to his children.

THink the Rolling Stones have a fair few out of wedlock kids between them. this will not be an issue.

One of them has even slept with a few minors

    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
