Got to love it when a seasoned professional walks out on that stage and is a little taken aback by what they see waiting for them. And Elton was clearly a little bit gobsmacked: "I must play for you very well".

It was great. Only thing I would have changed is that he played “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” instead of letting that Tik Tok bloke sing his own song.

Absolutely fair play to the fella. Thought he’d have had at least 6 months off before his “comeback”

Is this how he’s gonna get around it now - just a bunch of sporadic shows whenever he feels like rather than a firm ‘hitting the road for a while’ tour? Definitely wasn’t expecting him back this soon.

He always said that it was the end of touring, not performing.

Yep. I'd say that was a natural progression from left to right in terms of greatness too. Throw in the Cure and Blur anywhere and that's spot on.

Elton’s set really worked. He could have played another hours worth of hits but that may have spoilt the momentum.

I definitely didn't expect him to be as good as he was... thought he was past his prime and he did so so well! (i.e - seasoned vet)

Good but not my favourite. Possibly too far back. I enjoyed the Stones, Macca, Stevie and The Cure a lot more. He was better than the Who though.
