What is this changes on the close tents, you think it will help from last year piasco

Well it depends. It doesn't seem like they have done anything with the capacity, although it's hard to say what they mean by a "brand new Klub-C". Open fronts will help those outside be more engaged in the concert as well as the extra screens, but there were screens outside last year also, so unsure how much that helps. Basically open fronts is an advantage, but if you can't get in, I'm very unsure whether it will help to feel like you're a part of the concert. It is common on other festivals though, so maybe...

I've got very few tent-artists I want to see this year, so hopefully there won't be many issues for me. Morello/Snow Patrol will probably be the only one if I decide to see them rather than Sum 41.

In their newsletter, RW put this photo to show of the new Barn should look. Nothing about the Klub C. I really thought that The Barn became an open-air stage but seems not. Curious to see it live this Summer (going only on Friday)!

The lineup looks better with the schedule up imo. Hope everyone going has a good time

I think Rock Werchter looks fine. 16 acts with 1 clash for me it seems to me and that's with Sunday as apart from Foo Fighters it's pretty awful for me.

I'd have been happy enough to take a ticket for that but I can't do Glastonbury then a week after.

Not too many clashes for me either actually. My schedule will probably look like this:

Friday: Tom Odell, dEus/Tom Morello, Måneskin

Saturday: The Last Dinner Party, Nothing But Thieves, Avril Lavigne, Dua Lipa

Sunday: Brutus, Breeders, Pretenders, Zara Larsson, Foo Fighters

I won´t go on Thursday but PJ Harvey, Black Pumas and the Hives would have been a must.

They moved a number of combi tickets to day tickets. Saturday and Sunday seems to went to the waiting list people while Friday is open for sale again.

I wonder how many and how much quieter it's going to be this year

Hopefully a lot since I felt they stretched the limits for capacity too long last year, so I must admit I'm hoping for a bad ticket sales. Hopefully that can inspire them to up their game for next year as well.

A question For UK werchterites only.

Can you install the ticketmaster.be app from the play store? I'm told it's 'Ticketmaster international' but not available in my area.

Anyone know a way around this or do I have to wait until I have arrived in the EU before downloading it.

i had the problem the other way around, at least for darts premier league you could just show the code without the app.

The QR codes can be accessed on the ticketmaster.be website, you might not need the app.

Great, a merch shop before we get to the festival and find out everything has sold out by day one...but where the hell is the festival lineup t-shirt. Every festival makes one and it is the most popular! I would buy one if they made them.

The same debate is coming every year... don't know why they're not doing this.

A bit random - thought I'd book ahead accommodations for 2025. Is it safe to assume the festival will take place at the first weekend of July? (July 3rd to 6th) or is it more likely to be the weekend before that? (June 26th to 29th)

If you see a place with free accommodation book both weekends . That is what I usually do .

Line-up updates:

Lenny Kravitz will play 2h instead of 1h30 so the timetable got some slight changes with first band at 12:45.

Tom Morello takes the spot of Bad Omens in the Barn and Archive take their spot in the Klub C while Yard Act as added as opener for the Klub C

- Peuk and The Southern River Band exchange their day

So we don't have a band of the level of Bad Omens that take their spot. Until they cancel their show, it was difficult to find a ticket, now there are plenty on TicketSwap.

Thanks for info! Yard act is a nice addition though.

    • f**king horrendous and seems they couldn’t run an egg and spoon race.  zero info and the crush waiting to get in to see Massive Attack was potentially disasterous. Zero info, no stewards at all and was told that the whole evening was cancelled, when we got to the exit. Because it rained. First time attendee and i’ve got onsay, i’m far from impressed. Scalping bastard taxis asking €37 plus for an €11 fare too. Wonderdul.
    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
    • Hey guys, is there a group going for any solo y not goers this year?? I couldn’t miss out once I saw the acts but it’s just me and would be great to meet some others:))
    • After deciding to abandon the festival, here's a few of my thoughts (mostly negative tbf).    On the positive side - was it just me or were there a few more urinals than last year? Seemed to help the queues at the loos a bit from what i saw. Plus they had at least had some foresight and had a few more covered areas in the VIP areas.    Now on the negatives.  The weather was admittedly pretty crap but it wasn't apocalyptic. How the actual f**k are bits of the main stage falling off in those conditions?  Then the communication was awful, there's a load of people who left the site because they were told by security guards/other personnel that there would be no more acts on the main stage this evening.  You have an app Primavera, use it! Yes, there's a shitload going on I'm sure but communication with the festivalgoers should be one of the top priorities. You failed.    And I'm not usually somebody who buys into the whole "oh this is hugely unsafe and it's lucky people weren't hurt" narrative, but all the above led to movements of people that were genuinely unsafe.  Evacuating Mordor entirely (again... Why???) and then having a horde of people trying to get in because they thought they were going to Massive Attack was insane.  And given a lot of people basically abandoned ship around 10.30pm the crush at both the exit to the festival and the entrance to the Metro was pretty dangerous.   Conditions happen, most people will get that....but the contingencies have to be better.
    • You'd think that something like bad weather was in the basics of festival planning. After the shitshow of Madrid, you'd think they'd learnt their lesson, apparently not...
