Candi Staton vs The war on Drugs... but weirdly the biggest annoyance is Lil Nas X.

I have no interest what so ever in lil nas x, but to get a half decent spot for Reg, getting there early ish will be a must. I think I will be at THOD. If by the time I get round to the Pyramid I am in a bad spot, I am sacking it off and watching QOTSA.

The one's i've spotted so far..

Courteeners and Churnups

Say She She and The Last Dinner Party

Say She She are playing 3 times, so you have options - Clashes dependant:

Friday - West Holts, same time as The Last Dinner Party

Saturday - Rabbit Hole - 19.00

Sunday - Greenpeace - 19.00

Just like last year, early evening on the Friday is the worst offender. Particularly if the Pyramid TBC is Pulp, putting them on at the same time as Gabriels, Chvrches and The Comet is Coming is cruel. Lizzo v Maneskin is the other horrible one, think Rina and CATQ being on after the latter would probably swing it for them but would be painful to miss the flute Queen.

Normally I'm not bothered by clashes, but Beth Orton and Gwenno is well annoying, gonna have to flip a coin on the day I think.

If it helps I saw Beth Orton at Beautiful Days last year. Massive disappointment. Go for Gwenno.

Friday headliner time is disgusting for me.

On the larger stages i'd love to see AM, Hot Chip, chems (where i'll be probably) and four tet. Would also dabble with Cox but no chance of that given clashes

The wife has thrown a spanner in the works. Wim Hoff Saturday morning at 11:30 is “unmissable”. I already had Say She She and The Last Dinner Party clashing. I may have to relent on this one for the greater good…

Don’t know if you’ve seen Say She She, but I’d recommend. Think they have 2 other sets over the weekend (Greenpeace and Rabbit Hole?) but expect they’ll be rammed.

Someone mentioned that earlier but I think the other sets clash too. Would love to catch them as I haven’t seen them before. Might have to bite the bullet on this one.

Not in Order

Rick Astley/Last Dinner Party I imagine Last Dinner Party will be around for awhile.

The Hives/Hobo Jones.

CRJ/Unknown Mortal Orchestra/Lottery Winners.

The Churnups/Gabriels/Comet Is coming

Fred Again/Warpaint/Young Fathers/Sparks is one of the worst clashes. Young Fathers/Fred Again were two of my 'musts' especially with not a lot of interest in the Friday headliners. Will probably wonder over to see Arctic's from the back, or go and dance to Hot Chip depending on the mood.
~edit. I might even do Chemical Brothers on Arcadia, or just go straight to IICON for Four Tet, with Fred probably showing up as well.

Cat Stevens/Weyes Blood&Viagra Boys. Depends on my mood.

Lil Nas/War on Drugs/Thundercat. Will be Lil Nas X. Its gonna be a very difficult crowd for him. Majority waiting to see Elton especially at the front, I can't imagine much movement in between the two.

QOTSA/Elton. Queens are phenomenal live and always bring a show. Eltons last UK gig. Easy choice.

Nova Twins/BCNR/Big Moon

That's from a small glance, not including Thursday/Late night antics.

Friday:

The Churnups / Pulp / Foo Fights vs Chvrches v Courteeners vs Folamour

Fred Again.. vs getting a good spot down the front for AM vs Ewan McVicar v Camelphat

AM vs Chem Bros vs Four Tet

Some late night stuff but tbh I probably won't really mind where I am so long as I'm with my pals.

You have to see The Hives if you have not seen them live, easily in the top 3 live bands I have ever seen live, they never disappoint.

I think I have talked myself back into going to see The Hives lol

100% agree. Them being announced today has changed my opinion of the line up from meh, to hell yeah! I would probably go and see the hives over most bands playing the weekend to be fair

Hot Chip vs Chemical Brothers vs Carl Cox vs Four Tet vs Glitterbox

Will probably go with Hot Chip for my first Woodsies headliner, but all are really tempting and viable options, so could change on the night dependent on how I’m feeling.

Hot Chip vs Arctic Monkeys (will decide on the day - prob do AM as I've seen HC maybe 15 times, opposed to AM's 5 or 6, but I might be swayed, especially if The Churnups end up NOT being Pulp)

Blondie vs Slowdive (Slowdive wins)

Haven't done a properly thorough inspection yet but I think that's it for me this year - phew!
