So this "reliable" Stevie info was bollocks?!

Yeah, a load of bollocks.  It seemed weird from the start.

how is it bollocks? It was going to happen and that looks to have changed.

There's no evidence for that at all.

Nothing any more credible than when some farmer told Neil the legend was Roxy Music.

Admittedly I'm coming from a place of "this seems like young people's music" fear

Probably best not to get hung up on what's young people's music vs old people's.

If anything - as a classic 70s style singer songwriter - she's got way more in common with Carole King than she does 100 Gecs.

We don't know that. It might have been going to happen, according to someone on discord (who tbf has a good track record). For all they (and we) know, there might have just been some initial eqnuiries and never went any further.

The man hasn't got any gigs announced this year, anywhere in the world, and hasn't done a proper standalone concert since 2019....

Ok but 'bollocks' implies it was totally made up. It was a really well placed source and the info was for BST to be played too, presumably as part of a wider tour. If the tour is now off then so is Glasto.

What constitutes evidence in this context. It came from former efests user Brave Sir Robin who has an amazing record with BST. The info was BST and Glasto. How on earth is that bollocks? It might seem to have come out of the blue cause most good sources aren't on efests anymore. Are you saying that source isn't reliable?

I can't remember what all the leaks were involving BST, there isn't a chance they just got told "Stevie" as part of it and assumed Wonder when it's actually Nicks?

A similar mix up is what scuppered the last Fleetwood Mac reunion

No.

The poster put a near-complete* set of BST dates on here, and specifically gave names and dates for both Stevie Wonder and Stevie Nicks.

*the only date/name missed was Kylie.

Thing about O-Rod is she felt like such an obvious headliner booking to begin with, an almost carbon copy of Billie Elish's trajectory with Uk tour dates right bang in line

Maybe she is/was booked to sub headline originally but my gut is that its more likely she wanted to wait and headline on her third album.

As such based on absolutely nothing tangible whatsoever........ The 1975 is Jon snows.....Lock of the week!

"I hereby declare Miami to be Smooth Jimmy's Lock of the Week." | Lisa ...

so one rumour was Stevie Wonder is a headliner another rumour is that Stevie Wonder has dropped out.

We don't really know whether either are true or have ever been true or changed.

they both seem like they could be correct enough for people to put faith in them.

Is what you are saying is that you think both of the rumours have been false.  Ends up at the same place but just gets there a different route?

Good information in the past isn't a guarantee of good information now.

Who's BSR's source, how in touch are they? Was it a case of Chinese whispers? Maybe SW was approached by BST but was not asked by GFL.

Ultimately, people have had Stevie W nailed to the pyramid stage for weeks and now he isn't so it's bollocks as far as I'm concerned.

Lol so the only logical direction now is to start questioning if Coldplay and Dua are correct........
