They played last year, didn't they?

I think that your predictions will be accurate this year. The only name that is imposible is NOFX, as they are doing their farewell tour in 2023/24 and there won't be no more european dates announced this year.

Ah fair enough. VB pulled out last year if I recall correctly

Edit - no they did play. Must have them confused with someone else

I'd hope the other headliners tomorrow and then a batch on Friday similar to Lowlands but it does look to be headliners only.

Looking at it quickly, from the above Underworld CDW, Tamino, Fever Ray, Viagra Boys won't be there if we discounting acts that played last year or are elsewhere in Belgium this year.

The rest + one or more of the Chems, Strokes or Killers would be a great start for Pukkelpop. Wouldn't be surprised if they just go with BE, Florence and ID though, which would be underwhelming for me.

Good and bad news…

good: no Forever Young cover

Bad: we have to wait again a little longer in Belgium to see that NYC band

Damn. No Imagine Dragons at Pukkelpop?! A surprised. Any other shows in Belgium this Summer? And I guess the bad news is about The Strokes... sad and a bit surprised too.

Any clues for tomorrow announcement? 🙂

So that leaves Florence plus....who knows? I'm not a fan of ID at all but they would have shifted some tickets.

Hope they've not put all their eggs in a Billie Eilish sized basket.

Chems or the Killers lined up at all @Ken19

Arcade Fire? I think they've only been announced for Cala Mijas and Kalorama

Billie must be a really expensive headliner, so I think that we will find "cheap options" for one headliner and all subheadliners.

Maybe CDW or Angele will take a headline slot, and options like Major Lazer, Foals, Within Temptation, Lost Frequencies... can take sub slots

Wouldn't be surprised if the Saturday ends up being something like Maneskin - Angele - some popular dance act. And then Florence on Sunday.

Billie will probably use up a lot of the headliner budget. Perhaps they could even shift to selling more weekend and less day tickets.

Was hoping for more names today but the LLs announcement kind of makes up for that. I'd be well happy with M83, Moderat, Turnstile, Franc Moody, Jessie Ware, Bicep, Foals and most of the DJs they've got.

Think we'll get a name tomorrow that is 'new', so probably ID or the Strokes.

So Florence plays the Saturday at LL and won't play the Friday at Pukkelpop so we can assume she's the Sunday night headliner and I'm guessing CDW to close the main as that's the only night she's free. Still leaves Saturdays headliners (who aren't at LL) who we haven't got a clue about now that the Strokes and ID have been ruled out by Ken.

Hopefully good news at 10am

I'm hoping we get Chemical Brothers co-headlining with someone else. Maybe even Calvin Harris could play but may be too big.

Would they book a favourite like Mura Masa who could play a co-headline?

    • Plenty of good stuff this month. Very difficult choice, but I'm going with some of those I've listened to most (the sunny weather may also have been influential)...   1. The Coral - 388 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia's Been Good to Me 3. The Lemon Twigs - Look For Your Mind!   Others I've been enjoying... Laurie Anderson's live album, Broken Social Scene, Pigeon, The Black Keys, etc
    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
