so they moved a whole ass festival for BILLY Eilish?

fuck me this is a meme

If they announce Imagine Dragons, David Guetta and Florence only as headliners that's an utter shitshow. That's just not strong enough in 2023, in fact it would've been by far the weakest group of headline acts in years. The fact that they desperately needed someone like Billie Eilish also could mean - in my opinion - that they don't expect that anyone else in that category will be available in August, so they had to go all in for her. Because, let's face it, Billie Eilish is a name similar to Justin Bieber or Dua Lipa, and you need someone in your line up if you want to sell tickets.

Bit underwhelming. Nothing on that list making me want to jump on a plane.

If I don’t have anything else going on in the summer I may go last minute. I can’t see it selling out.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna spend money on Mediterranean islands instead. Had great time on Sziget before but this is just not my cup of tea.

since a couple guys answered seriously
the issue isn't Billie
it's the fact that they've moved a festival for someone they can't even spell properly

will give this a like because you dont deserve downvotes for just stating an opinion

i also dont get the obsession with Blur, but i also think britpop is the worst kind of genre

haha thanks
I'm not against britpop at all, but if we're looking at for instance the streaming numbers of Blur they're nowhere compared to other headliners. Waaay lower than even Tame Impala last year. I would've no problem to have Blur as a non-headliner act but that's probably impossible for some strange reason.

Mixed feeling about the lineup.

So who do we think are subs?

It's interesting that they're not being clearly highlighted as subs. It makes booking more flexible. If they can't get significant subs they might make Diplo or Moderat or someone a sub, who knows.

I'm so idiotic with these double posts today, so sorry

A pretty big meh in terms of headliners (apart from Billy, lol), but good undercard so far. I'm hoping for good day splits (Billie Eilish, M83, NBT, Foals and Amyl as close as possible) - I'm certainly not doing the whole festival but would gladly do a couple of days as I live relatively near.

    • Boards of Canada never perform live, I doubt they'll start now. Also Strokes have a show in Barcelona next tour so also less likely.   And adding Nine Inch Noize to the mix And we should definitely get Iggy Pop back before his body completlt dismantles
    • Starmer wagging his finger with a stern warning again. The media are briefed they'll  ban social media for under 16s then he stands up and makes an empty threat on nude images. Why does he keep doing this?
    • My top 5:   1. Little Simz (her appearance with Gorillaz was also one of the highlights of their show. The absolute winner of the weekend) 2. Cure 3. Rilo Kiley 4. Gorillaz. A bit disappointing set for me, compared to last time. Felt like a bad setlist, whenever things started to heat up, they did some new calmer song 5. Florance Road. The good thing thay came out of the rain is being able to see them
    • So since Andy Copping has stepped down and this new booker has taken over, we’ve had Green Day (who Andy never managed to book) and now potentially Blink 182 (another Andy never got done) is this just coincidence or do you think Andy never actually pushed hard for these bands?
