According to the BBC, Johnson said the following at the cabinet meeting.

"he hoped we could now move to a place where Covid was not dominating the news agenda anymore."

Obviously no one has told him what has been dominating the news agenda for the last four weeks.

yeah, we can talk about the shit state of the economy instead.

as soon as he has to defend himself from his own stupidity, first thing he does is talk covid:'vaccines', 'booster', etc.

A massive focus on the Midlands and north needed from Labour now.

And up in Scotland even a bit of tactical voting could easily allow labour to regain some of their natural heartland in the central lowlands .  Corbyn just didn’t appeal to the voters in Scotland.

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
    • Lifelong Carlisle United supporter here.🤦‍♂️ Good luck for the coming Season and see you in October!
