Did anyone else hear on the BBC News channel just before this presser started about a breaking AP report (which I cannot find) a statement from Biden stating that it would take 'many, many, many months' to implement any vaccine.?

I definitely heard it but can't see any reports anywhere.

Ah found it. It's a statement from Biden just released.

Ah, so the GOP tactic is to raise the expectations and then blame the new administration for failing to deliver...

Well the teal tactic is to just leave it in shambles, claim they left the country in the best shape ever in the history of mankind and then say the dems created this whole problem in the first place. Theyre all going to say the country was perfectly fine on January 19th and ignore the past 10 months.

And hey, dead people can vote, cause theyre actually alive.

The issue they had here is of two things. People registered to vote and then died. In a smaller number of cases people voted via mail and unfortunately died in that time.

Someone actually ran for government, died and still got elected.

    • Elastica posted last night teasing a return, wonder where they would play if they reformed?
    • I agree but anyone under Rodrigo would be a sub in reality, that day would sell out in under an hour whoever is subbing, in which case Wolf Alice would make a lot of sense   The more unrealistic part of the scenario at this point is Rodrigo headlining
    • All you can say is...     If he couldn't convince nations that really would've benefitted from the short-term hit of an up-front £50mil payment by this time next year, what hope did he have?   Guess we'll now just have to monitor and see if this could derail Infantino's plans to be re-elected FIFA President next year.
    • Spider-Man: Brand New Day   Highlight was a bloke reacting to the post-credit scene by going "Holy f**k it's Tobey Maguire!" despite the scene having no reference to him at all. Which made my close-to-full screening of the film laugh a lot.   Film was pretty good. It was interesting as much as an exploration of the ramifications of the end of No Way Home and being about isolationism and male loneliness, which I thought it actually did quite well. Though I do ponder if I liked it as much as the other 3 Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. Sadie Sink was good tbf, while I also liked Jon Bernthal as Punisher, enough that I might go watch his Disney+ shows.   Seem to have had a Marvel kick recently having also watched Thunderbolts and Shang-Chi, both of which I thought were pretty good.
    • Wolf Alice won't get headliner for Reading either, they will sub if they play, that is where their level has stopped I feel. Both TFG and Skyvip for the big shows this year was just a stretch too far. Every headliner this year is bigger than them too I'd say.   Agree with Capaldi I don't think Yungblud will be at Reading. I would guess Bludfest 3 or Download.
