Chapple12345
Could this be part of the mitigations, allowing the lockdown to ease further whilst adding countries back on the quarantine list?

That's absolutely laughable Fewer local authorities are reporting coronavirus cases, as weeks go by the number with 0 cases is increasing. The cases we do have appear to be more and more contained to specific areas. This relaxation doesn't apply to those areas. I think this shows science and numbers are playing a huge part.

FestivalJamie
“New guidance will also mean that staff offering "close contact" services, including hairdressers, will now have to wear a face mask as well as a clear visor”. Face masks now mandatory for those performing close contact services such as barbers and hairdressers. The barber round the corner from me the staff aren’t wearing masks or visors though... And: “There will also be a clampdown on illegal gatherings of more than 30 people, which could see those responsible hit with spot fines of up to £10,000”. On the spot fines of up to £10000 for illegal gatherings over 30 people. Lets see if either of these new enforcement measures actually happen. It remains the case that you should not: socialise indoors in groups of more than two households (anyone in your support bubble counts as one household) – this includes when dining out or going to the pub followed by today s announcement about weddings and sit down meals of groups of over 30 ..... these households are getting big
FestivalJamie
I think we need to make contact tracing mandatory in pubs and restaurants so we can regulate how many households are dining/drinking together. In germany everyone must provide their address when indoor dining so they can prove there’s no more than 2 households mixing when eating together. It's not currently mandatory, just guidance on business. Put it in their licensing regulations. People will lie and say they're in the same household but you'll probably know each other. So as long as you tell the other person if you're contact traced and they and their household quarantine you'll be fine.

Shouldn't be, but they will do. As I say, it's not currently mandatory for pubs to collect any information off you so there's no way at all of contacting these people. If it's mandatory the chances are at least one person in a group might leave a real number and allow the rest to be contacted. Which they can't currently be Edited August 13, 2020 by Leyrulion

Zoo Music Girl
It's all such bollocks isn't it? Ooh we've increased the face mask fine to £3200. Doesn't really matter how much the fine is if it's not being enforced anywhere. I'm guessing Boris has shat himself about the recession and decided to hurry things along with the reopening.
