NOS Alive 2020

Coldplay would be another banger for me.

But can NOS Alive actually afford Taylor Swift AND Coldplay? Or could both of these acts play for a lower price than usual?

I guess it would explain the increase in ticket prices that others have mentioned. Taylor Swift, Coldplay and Foals/Tame Impala would be a really strong set of headliners and would possibly tempt me to go again next year.

Blitz (portuguese music magazine) who are often biased but sometimes they predict festival annoucements said last 2 years for a row that Coldplay will come to Portugal, they never did but I think there is a good possibility for them to come, and of course that they will be sold out because of them.

I still think it´s not them or it could be an annoucement of a new stage because Nos Alive really needs another stage or a bigger festival.

I can´t belive that in 46 hours we will probably have the next headliner and we still don´t have any clue who that could be, that´s scary because we weren´t expectiong Taylor Swift at all...

Regardless of how disappointing that headliner might end up being, I'd be lying if I said this isn't exciting

Me too!

If it´s something like Taylor or Coldplay I´ll be very dissapointed, the tickets will sell out instantly and then they´ll start to add interesting artists when the festival is already sold out, I hate when they do that but let´s hope that it won´t happen.

    • Solid list...  but i must ask?  are you excluding Lime Garden & Tomora as you didn't like them or is it that you havent listened to them?
    • It was Brooklyn last year, and I seem to remember a Guinness tent
    • That leaker off Instagram was saying earlier this year that Nickelback are doing a tour with Broco and Wargasm, but no evidence as yet
    • Gojira are unoficially confirmed by the organisation at Hellfest since last December already.   Slayer was supposed to be this year as a Mainstage 2 headliner at the place of Volbeat for a thrash day but negotiations fell off. Very likely to be there next year.    MCR I didn't know about but it fits well with Hellfest's desire to keep one day as more punk/rock orientated.    Europe are a confirmed headliner for Sweden Rock 2027. They will not headline HF but we may seem them on the bill. I am very curious who will be the legacy bands next year at HF. There was some backlash after 2025 and a bit of a return to heavier metal on the bill in 2026 - e.g. Gatekeeper on the main stage. The only considerable legacy acts I see coming (if they are in Europe) and haven't been at HF for a while are Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Slash, FFDP (if you count them as legacy), ZZ Top, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. I really hope they manage to pull sth big for the 20th anniversary like AC/DC.
