I’m hoping my local burger beauts Half Man Half Burger will be knocking around again - last couple of fests they’ve been between Beat Hotel and the JP.  I’ll tweet em

The big question is, is the stall selling cigar tin guitars back? I want to promise myself one and then not actually but one again.

I had a go on one of them last year for a couple of minutes and had a bit* of a crowd forming. At last I can say "I've played Glastonbury"

* Not actually an understatement, it was about 5 people.

My mate bought one, it’s pretty awesome actually. The stallholder wrote a really decent blog about working it in 2016 in the mud, it was a very decent read - I’ll see if I can find it somewhere

no mud tales, wrong year - but it’s still a decent read if you’re a bit of a glastobater like me

Great read, thanks. Bloody Martin Roberts gets everywhere at Glastonbury. I'm starting to think there's more than one of him.

Mrs Jass has played Glastonbury... she "played" a coat hanger onstage in the cabaret tent as part of a band made up of people hitting household items.

It counts.

There's a pie stall I can't remember the name of if anyone knows it? Sells pies. Pirate themed (I think), between West holts and Leftfield (I think), was on the left as walking from WH. Remember absolutely loving them.

Hold on. A pirate-themed pie stall?

That Bloody Mary stall in the Park is an absolute life saver in the morning, just a shame the place seems to run out of everything by about 11am.

Do you mean the ones in the Bimble Inn?  I've been told countless times that the best Bloody Marys are in the Park.  I just wasn't sure if it was a mythical, dedicated stall or the ones from the Inn that have been spoken of.

I can vouch for the ones at the inn and you can get a half a pint ale chaser at the same time!

No, there's a stall up at the top of the Park near the BBC's bit that sells them. If memory serves there's a big wooden shack and sells breakfasts and whatnot and it's a part of that.

Sweet, thanks. Did not know about this place! Will check it out as I am always on the hunt for a breakfast bloody mary.

The ones at the Cornish Arms were decent as well, if not pricey.

Ah yes that's the one! Just vaguely remembered the gun bit and mistook it for a skull and crossbones type thing in my head. Anyone know if they're still around? Perfect on a cold, muddy festival to warm spirits.

Think they probably are. Sure they were at EOTR at the end of last season

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
