Liam would/will pull a massive crowd. I doubt there are many bands, if any, more popular with R&L’s young audience than Oasis.

Id say AM tbh. Oasis close second though and I agree with your point, he’ll get a big crowd for sure even if he isn’t popular on here

Dua Lipa could sub Liam. Yes, while she is one of the biggest artists in the world, in terms of their live pull they both had 2 nights at The O2 on recent tours and Gallagher sold his out much faster.

With the young audience, Dua would probably draw a bigger crowd than Liam but it wouldn't look too out of place to have her subbing Liam.

This is all hypothetical and I'm fully expecting Gerry Cinnamon to still sub. However, I had a random thought that if Community Festival returns in 2021 I would say he has a shot at headlining, even with his current tour dates FR could shift him over to that.

No way is Gerry headlining community, would need a strong sub for that (maybe wombats perhaps) - people like him down here a bit but he can't do Community yet (and hopefully never).

I don't see how Dave is an awful shout, he would be cheap as fuck too I bet. AM / Dave / Liam wouldn't break the bank and please a lot of people. Migos, TDCC/Courteeners and Capaldi to sub.

What makes Dave a headliner? He hasn’t got new music to promote. I also can’t see them putting him as a headliner straight away when they could definitely get away with having him sub and then headline a couple of years after that.

I would love to see Parquet Courts & Gang of Youths on the poster next year where do we think they would be on the bill?

i'm a big fan of Gang of Youths, Go Farther In Lightness is up there with my favourite albums but with that being said they wouldn't play high up the line up if they were to be booked, probably high up in the FR tent

Post Malone only released two songs from his 3rd album when he headlined. I think Dave is working on a second album currently and if he's promoting it in 2021 he could easily headline

Post Malone was way bigger than Dave, though. He was essentially the biggest artist in the world when he co-headlined. Dave isn’t there yet.

Dave is one of the biggest UK rappers though and he fits with the audience. If he is planning on putting an album out in 2021 he'll headline.

Imagine being in a band and searching your band's name on Twitter to see what people have to say about you

It's a bit sad isn't it since I didn't @ them nor was it a response to anything they'd posted. Even funnier that they've still liked it considering what it says hahaha

I see them liking a lot of posts on insta as well, and not even just music ones a good selection

I second this he’s absolutely huge within the festival going community, arguably same level as Stormzy

Dave is not as big as Stormzy. Look at the arena tour Stormzy had lined up.

Dave isn’t as big as Stormzy yet. He’s not too far off but they’re definitely not equal. Stormzy is 100% headline status and Dave probably couldn’t do it at this point in time. Another album/lead up to a new album and yeah, headliner but as of now he’s not. He needs that push of album 2

I believe we will find the lineup out. Either Bank Holiday weekend or it will be in September.

I can see them saying something on it when we’re meant to be there, even if it’s telling us of any headliners are rolling over.

What I’m a bit sad about is that it looks like they won’t have any coverage of old gigs and stuff when it’s meant to be on

Seems a lot of people are saying it and he is really big right now.

re the second sentence, i don't think its about getting away with him as a sub its about getting away with him as a headliner. he would be cheap so push him up and get a big sub instead of having him sub then paying loads for a headliner if you see what I mean. They want to get away with pushing people up - not keeping them down

    • Muse will be about but the issue with Muse is that they’ll have the pick of doing IOW, BST, Glasto, R&L or big parks/stadiums.

    • Not sure what this means for 2027 but it looks like Holt Farm's website and email are both now inactive and unavailable.   It'll be a shame if they don't operate for 2027 as it was an excellent alternative to the other off-site offerings.   Fingers crossed they're just enjoying their downtime 🤞
    • Deftones, Blink, Muse?   Deftones as the next bump up makes all the sense, Blink as the "band that has never played before" and round out with Muse as its been a long time since they headlined and they have a new album coming which seems on the heavier side from the singles so far.   I could see Muse do their own tour to be fair, maybe MCR in their place? Could also see Deftones switched out for Slipknot/SOAD depending on who is about.
    • I have no issue with the Primavera crowd in most respects. They’re always friendly, respectful and no hint that there could be trouble at any point.   However…the talking is horrific here. The xx was pretty much ruined for me due to people having conversations with their mates the whole way through. Noticed it from all different nationalities across the weekend…English, Irish, Spanish etc. There seems to be no understanding of the nuances of when it’s okay to talk and when it isn’t. And obviously the sound being quiet at a lot of spots on the main stages exacerbates the issue. That alone has made me reconsider whether I will be coming back, it would probably take a lineup as good as this year (unlikely)
