Paul McCartney is rumoured to be opening the new Everton FC stadium which will be open for football from August 2025 but is ready for test events from end off 2024.

Just a rumour that goes around at Springsteens forum. They also expect him to play there next year. Springsteen will announce his tour tomorrow as been mentioned before.....

Aye, looks like Bruce drops tomorrow. A weekend date would be great in order to take the folks.

This is a guess, rather than knowledge. But I've booked a (refundable) hotel for the night of Saturday 7th June.

Bear in mind that one of the things that went into the guess is that hotels that night are seemingly more scarce and expensive than usual, for no reason that I can tell, so it's based on minimal evidence that could be down to something else entirely and therefore utterly wrong.

    • I agree but anyone under Rodrigo would be a sub in reality, that day would sell out in under an hour whoever is subbing, in which case Wolf Alice would make a lot of sense   The more unrealistic part of the scenario at this point is Rodrigo headlining
    • All you can say is...     If he couldn't convince nations that really would've benefitted from the short-term hit of an up-front £50mil payment by this time next year, what hope did he have?   Guess we'll now just have to monitor and see if this could derail Infantino's plans to be re-elected FIFA President next year.
    • Spider-Man: Brand New Day   Highlight was a bloke reacting to the post-credit scene by going "Holy f**k it's Tobey Maguire!" despite the scene having no reference to him at all. Which made my close-to-full screening of the film laugh a lot.   Film was pretty good. It was interesting as much as an exploration of the ramifications of the end of No Way Home and being about isolationism and male loneliness, which I thought it actually did quite well. Though I do ponder if I liked it as much as the other 3 Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. Sadie Sink was good tbf, while I also liked Jon Bernthal as Punisher, enough that I might go watch his Disney+ shows.   Seem to have had a Marvel kick recently having also watched Thunderbolts and Shang-Chi, both of which I thought were pretty good.
    • Wolf Alice won't get headliner for Reading either, they will sub if they play, that is where their level has stopped I feel. Both TFG and Skyvip for the big shows this year was just a stretch too far. Every headliner this year is bigger than them too I'd say.   Agree with Capaldi I don't think Yungblud will be at Reading. I would guess Bludfest 3 or Download.
