If you don't know this, I'd be amazed. I saw Ray Davies in 2010, and the whole pyramid field was singing along to just about every line of every song. LeeGalvin
This would be fantastic. Going to see Sunny Afternoon (the Kinks musical) next year, just before Glastonbury, so seeing the real deal afterwards would be perfect! Had a peep at the clashfinder to see what was on at the same time. Christ the 2010 line-up was brilliant.I think there were a lot of great bands in the UK that summer, I went to Leeds and it still stands up as one of the best festival line-ups I've been to. Grizzly Bear over Ray Davis was obviously the connoisseur's choice though, followed by Gang Of Four, Broken Social Scene and LCD Soundsystem. That's the stuff. Yeah, 2010 was a vintage year in my eyes. Line up was fantastic and it was scorchio throughout. Can these morons not see the supidity of claiming you want to leave the EU to reclaim our sovereignty and then complaining when someone uses this sovereignty to challenge ' the will of the people' you can't pick and choose when democracy applies. Yeah, sorry to bring them up, so to speak, but my hatred of them is lifelong, even before jft96, hence I wouldn't let it lie. Back on topic though, always enjoyed RD or the Kinks whenever I've seen them there - if only I knew when that was Edited November 5, 2016 by clarkete
bexj
I love the Kinks and Ray's 2010 was one of my best ever Glastonbury moments, but I also dont think they are headline status. Put them on late afternoon again, watch the field fill and sing the place out. it would be amazing.

Theresa May walks like she obviously hasn't finished a shit off properly and still has a bit left up her. That sort of professionalism takes commitment. Let the unelected anal retentive decide our futures and our children's futures for us. That dried Malteser of itchy poo won't exit until we Brexit. Ouch this one hurt, The band they say "started the mod revolution" or at least contributed the most only have four songs. Im sat here on a sunny sunday morning listing to Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire) some brilliant tunes on that album alone that you haven't mentioned. Fair enough if you don't really know the band each their own. Ray's set was great in 2010, most of my group had run off to see England get thrashed by the Germans while a few of us found a nice patch of grass in the glorious weather that graced us and had a good dance and sing song. It would be great to have the Kinks there, be it a headline spot or the legends spot.
