I went to New Order at t'Other for Neil, sorry easty not my thing. Cold, dull, souless blah blah. I know they should have an Afro Beat horn section, warm em up a bit. If everyone liked New Order, there would be no one left for me to ridicule for not liking them You will be glad to hear that after I have seen them tomorrow, I will stop boring everyone and clogging up threads by jabbering on about them. Now where is the Depeche Mode thread? Edited July 8, 2016 by eastynh

Amy Lawn
NIN closing the Other on Sunday is the dream.
Cornelius_Fudge
Nine Inch Nails would be amazing but I don't know if they would be able to headline it. Perhaps NIN in to Prodigy would be a cool alternative to anything more mainstream on the Pyramid. I don't know how much work they've done recently but how about someone like Skrillex or Pendulum for the Sunday night? Would be great to go out on a huge bang! Away with you! They're bigger than loads of bands who've headlined The Other in recent years.

Hahaha. Sorry to cause offence Just thought someone more modern or up to date would get the nod ahead of them. Since their hiatus and last album not being great I don't think they'd be so relevant, that's all.
willutalk
Something like this (assuming the headliners are Stone Roses, RH and Sheeran) Kendrick Lamar (against The Roses) Hot Chip ?? Paolo Nutini (or someone similar) (against RH) Hozier The Wombats Nine Inch Nails (against Sheeran) Royal Blood Weezer Edited July 9, 2016 by willutalk

Amy Lawn
Calvin Harris would be a Pyramid headliner. I hope they book Taylor before him.

He's light and inoffensive enough for that.

Skrillex only headlined the Other stage back in 2014 so I reckon that rules him out. Pendulum though - all over that!
Cornelius_Fudge
Yeah, I think the crowd would go absolutely manic when Slam and Witchcraft kicked off!

Gucci Piggy
Pendulum is a shout if they're around. I mean, they're abysmal, but I could see it happening.

Abysmal as in they don't play well live, or that you dislike them yourself?

For the record (for those that do like them) I've heard great things about them live, although only ever seen a couple of vids myself. Anyone seen them that can provide an informed opinion? jparx
NIN would be amazing. Been a fan for years and years but somehow managed to miss them live. They seem to get mentioned every year though yet never make an appearance. Is there any reason why they are more likely this year? Jane's Addiction before them would be fantastic but I don't know their status. They headlined 2nd stage at Download didn't they? They toured together a few years back so I guess they would be up for playing before NIN again. Can LCD Soundsystem not just headline again?
