Hi all! I went to a few Glastonburys from 2011-2016 then qualified as a teacher and couldn't make it any more. Used to absolutely pore over this forum back then! Making my triumphant return this year as I'm on maternity leave. It's going to be a different one with a 7 month old but I'm getting excited already

Hi all. Had an account here yonks ago. Returning for all the impending lineup discussion when it drops. Also to see if I can find any "proper" rumours. The Glasto Feed website is down and the main efests site doesn't seem to have the same rumour system any more 😔

welcome ... the ownership of this site has changed and a different system is in operation , if you look about most of the info and names are on that page are  there and discussed within the forums ... what do you consider "proper ? "

Well I remember in past years, this page was a lot more in-depth (https://www.efestivals.co.uk/festivals/glastonbury/2024/lineup.shtml) at this time of year, with many more r' and sr's,unless that's just my imagination. And the GlastoFeed website, which usually does a similar thing, is down completely. I know it'll get busier in the coming months, but I was wondering if the websites had lost some insider sources or something? I'm no expert.

that other website owner is taking a break and will be back shortly ( ive messaged them )  , there do seem to be have been fewer self confirms though this year , new ownership here means a few bits a bit behind but nothing that wont be found out in the next month or so anyway

Hi everyone, I used to use e-festivals in my festival attending prime, used to double Leeds and Download every year in the 2000s. Switched to Glasto as I became older, wiser and more able to fund it all. Spending my days now refreshing the rumours list to inject some soul into my soulless job. Exciting to join a forum again, reminds me of my youth. See you all on site!

Hey 👋

I’m new and volunteering with Avalon at my first ever Glastonbury. Can’t wait… 😛

Welcome!  Be ready to have your mind blown.  I wish I could rinse my brain and have my first Glasto again with no memories.  It changed me.  It will probably change you too.  Enjoy!

Hi All. Not quite a newbie, I've been around this site for years but just had to create a new account because apparently my old one doesn't exist anymore! Anyway, got tickets in the resale so heading to Glasto for the 9th time this year with wife and friends (and no kids for a change!). Cannae wait!!

I got lucky in the resale too, so looking forward to my first since 2019 🙏🏼

Celebrations are dwindling and now I'm feeling a bit nervous because I'll be semi-alone. It'll still be great though.

Hello all,

I've revived this zombie account (made in 2004 apprently, hence then terrible name) again due to resale success. Massively excited. It's a bit of a distance -- around 10000k as the crow flies -- but by some miracle my wife has allowed me to start our summer holiday to the UK 10 days early sans kids. This will hopefully give me some time to beat the jet-lag before the gates open, unlike my last time in 2019 which was amazing, but hard work.

Hi everyone. I'm Rutger, 31yo dude from Belgium. I've been to Glastonbury in 2014 (with friends) and last year (solo). Had the best time last year so I'm going again this year. I don't post a lot myself, but I like to read all the rumours, want-to-see-lists & weather thread, building up to the festival itself.

    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
